Still thinking of crossovers that never were. Someone mentioned a desire for a Hellboy/Specter crossover and I've been craving that ever since. You'd have some cool character dynamics to play with for a more serious-toned Hellboy crossover. A comedic Ghostbusters one also sounded fun.

Oh yeah, college roomies. Close friends. I've never found source, but have heard that both were either groomsmen for the other, or best man, when they each got married. They've known eachother for a long time.
Which makes me think of a Hellboy/Sam and Max crossover. It's not so stupid, there was a Hellboy and The Goon crossover (lots of fun by the way).
