They're probably like space mercenaries or something, right? Like a low rent Guardians of the Galaxy. Sorry if this is too harsh. As an aspiring comic writer myself I feel like I might be being a bit hypocritical with my feedback. I'm sure if this is written well you could do something interesting with these characters.

The story is reall unique. They're not mercenaries.

do you really want to know? well it's set 1000 years from now (31st Century). The earth gets destroyed during an alien invasion and humanity is on the brink of extinction. That's all i can say for now

The art is really good and you seem very talented but as a couple people pointed out, it does look very generic. If it is a story that's supposed to be a parody, it might work but if not, it might fall flat.

Alright I'm actually kinda interested now. You might want to change some things about the characters though. I'm sure they act different but the designs make it easy to draw Guardians of the Galaxy comparisons.

No it wasn't on purpose. As you get to know the story and the character's you'll see that there's no correlation between this and guardians. Other stuff maybe, but far from marvel.

Looks like a GotG rip-off. You can say it's not until you're blue in the face but it's going to be the reason readers will pass on it.

You need a hook. Something that immediately gets people's attention. Whether that's the premise or the look of the characters or setting. But you need something more than "good."

Doesn't matter. First impressions are important and people will write this off based on the character designs following so closely to the GotG team model.

It's all about the guy and the robot. Those to are the main people. They're the main focus.

The art's really good, but I have to agree with the other Anons in the thread: the characters look really archetypal. Probably the most egregious ones are "generic white guy as the leader" and "badass, but sexy alien woman assassin." That doesn't mean you're not allowed to use those tropes, but... personally, after seeing those tropes repeated ad infinitum, I don't care for it.

This! if dozens of random people tell that it looks like a GotG ripoff, then maybe they're not wrong.
No matter how often you tell us its not a GotG ripoff, people will always judge books by their cover.

It doesn't matter what it's about. It could be Hemingway but people won't give it a chance to find out because they'll assume it's GotG with the serial numbers filed off based solely on the pic posted.

Good art but has some heavy GotG vibes. You would need a good first issue to sell it.
If I was your editor I would question the monkey, does he have to be cigar chomping, shotgun toting, asshole looking? Could trade and make him the knife wielding close combats/ninja type, make alien girl a shotgun/dual pistol type, swappping her weapons would change her from not!Gamora to not!OG Lara Croft and that's a good upgrade.
Also leader guy needs something to not be generic. You can probably do that with the story and characterization, and hopefully will, but it would be nice if some sign of that non genericness was evident on his design.
I like the little robot, hopefully he isn't annoying and it would be a nice surprise if he's not comic relief.
Black cyborg man is okay, but have you tried his design with no beard but with short hair, more like a 90s Wesley Snipes? blad headed bearded black guy feels a little cliche nowadays. Maybe beard and hair like Jamie Foxx in Django Unchained?

His brother looks like wesley snipes

You could always make it porn. A porn GotG would be pretty neat.
