Gay acceptance was just a stepping stone to give way and grant legitimacy to other "alternative lifestyles". What amuses me is how it's all painted as some sort of human rights struggle when this type of behavior isn't just promoted by mega corporations and propagandized to hell and back it's encouraged by our leaders as a noble and virtuous thing.
I look back on the 00's and I see how an entire generation of kids were turned into lifelong drug addicts because they were a little sad or restless and that was deemed socially acceptable then or outright treated as a joke. But this, this is so much worse, now a new generation's gonna get castrated and pumped full of hormones so society can say that we've made some sort of arbitrary "progress". In a way i'm kinda happy things have turned out this way because 40 years ago when those nutty christian fundamentalists kept talking about a slippery slope and how things would just get worse over time they were laughed at. But listen, it's okay if you don't feel uncomfortable yet because this is ultimately just another stepping stone. I promise you we're gonna keep pushing boundaries until society either collapses from its own hedonistic decadence or we experience a serious backlash against all this.

See that’s the thing about Nico’s shows, aside from putting certain social commentary where it literally doesn’t belong (because Jeffrey is not trans). Nico has this stupid tendency to have different animators animate entire scenes by themselves and then have another animator do a different scene afterwards. This wouldn’t be a problem if every animator were equally skilled, but alas. See he could have made the best animators into key animators and the less skilled one into inbetween animators or breakdown animators, but no. That and the fact that no one is checking to see if the the style is consistent, leads to different scenes having radically different styles. It’s like one of those Newgrounds collab videos where the point IS that different scenes are supposed to be different. Nico takes this idea and applies it to this show, leading to a stylistic mess of a cartoon.

Determining that a kid is secretly the opposite sex because of their interests and preferences is so dumb. When I was a kid I vehemently hated barbies for some reason, I only liked playing with animal toys like dinosaurs. I also hated wearing dresses. Doesn't mean I wanted to be a boy.
Oh I also completely agree on those talking points about the animation style. If they could at least keep the lineweight consistent it would make the cartoon look a lot more coherent overall, but going from sketchy thick lines to the sharp, clean lineart of Zeurel in the very next shot is so jarring. It's not like the animation itself isn't bad, it just reads more like a clip show because of how different the styles are.

also I decided to look at some of the later episodes after this sleepover one, and in all the episodes he's still a boy. so he only turned into a girl when he wanted to sneak into a girls slumber party, and then is comfortable with being referred to specifically as a boy in the rest of the episodes. wonder why SJWs didn't get mad about that if the shows only depiction of him being trans is just doing it for the sake of getting into a girls-only space, and then never mentioning it again
