Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking?
You'd think at least one person working on this would be like "this shit's a terrible idea."
What did the Chaps think of this abomination?
Burning all your sacred cows just because they can.
Is that Homestar on Robot Chicken? Horrible.
>DUDE BLOOD AND VIOLENCE LMAO

Well, they at least acknowledged it on the strong bad twitter account. They didn't give any comment as to weather or not they liked it though.
If I were them, I'd be disappointed there wasn't anything creative done with the parody.
fpbp
Probably trying to acknowledge it as little as possible beyond "it existed".
I mean if they don't like Homestarrunner, that's fine. You have to like something you don't, and nobody's making you watch it. But this shit was disturbing.
Robot Chicken is all about taking your childhood memories and raping them before your eyes (often literally).
My entire dream of having seminal voice actor George Lowe talking with Himestarrunner and the best they could do was anemic gore
How can Zig Forums hate this? It's exactly the same sort of premise that Harley Quinn works on, and shil-Imean Zig Forumsmrades assure me with constant threads that HQ is amazing and funny.

What's sad is there is the idea of Free Country USA coming in parallel with the those Bundy Ranch things, make a big dramatic movie of the federal government vs Free Country USA. Like some legal drama or documentary series on the event. Not just murder and beatings and TRUMPTRUMPTRUMP. But in retrospect I was expecting too much from a Seth Green production.
They basically said "Fuck off and don't do that shit again" in the most Brothers Chaps was possible.
Strong Bad made a joke about setting Litigation Jackson on their asses if they used their characters again.
THE SYSTEM REALLY WORKS
JERKS
How do you piss off guys like that? They’re so nice and gave us so much for free...
By not giving a fuck about pissing them or anybody else, which is exactly how Seth's little toy show has lasted so long.

For those who hate themselves
The more you think about it the worse it gets.
Each sketch goes through the producers and other writers, gets animated, gets checked over by S&P and legal, adult swim executives, so on and so on, and not a single person among that assembly line said "Hey, this is probably a really bad idea that could get us into some controversy. Maybe we shouldn't do this."
Literally everybody who oversaw the sketch thought that this was okay to air on national television.
Controversy isn't the reason this is awful. It's just unfunny. They should have done a 5 second thing with the action figures
They stole copyrighted art assets for this sketch.
This is why I'm legitimately baffled as to how bad movies and shows happen.
Movies and shows go though a hundred people to get made, and somehow not a single one of them is like "this is retarded, no."
yikes
I'm not sure how you make a sketch like this where NONE of the voices sound even close to the way they're supposed to
To their credit, Homestar shouting "ow something bit me" after getting shot is a pretty Homestar thing to do.
How do you fuck up Strong Bad's voice that badly?
>Early Robot Chicken
>Hit or miss stop motion skits, not necessarily tied to any existing property
>Occasional parodies with varied jokes that have fun with the universe it's set in
>Nu-chicken
>Property you recognize but what if they swore and had sex and got violently dismembered?
>Occasional callback to skit you remember from the early show but with more violence and sex
Really, I think the reason their specials end up working so much better than the show itself is because they're forced to come up with more than one joke for that particular property. The show would probably be better if each episode was dedicated to a single property
