Let's talk about Galaxy of Adventures and how beautiful and perfect its animation and designs are for a fucking YouTube series.
God, I wish we had more Western 2D animation like this.

It really looks good.
The Jedi vs Sith video is the best Star Wars content Disney has ever put out.
>beautiful
agreed
>perfect
for every well-done shot, there's another that is clunky and poor by comparison.
too inconsistent to call it perfect.

Actually makes me care about the prequels and the sequels.
Even its weaker moments are still great considering it's for a YouTube channel for kids. There was no need to put even half as much effort into it like they did.
I like this art style and the animation looks fantastic to boot. Are they ever going to release an actual series for this?
I really hope the reception to the series encourages Disney to hire titmouse to do a full series in this style. Maybe with a little more refining. 2D animation will look better than 3D anyday.
Why didn't they ever get Genndy to make OT and beyond content? His Clone Wars is still better than Filoni's and he'd be wasted on the ST so it's too late now.
You're pushing an unattainable ideal because nothing is perfect. Most of it is incredibly solid for YT standards, as pointed out, so I'd just take it as an overall win.
Agreed, I’d really like to see him adapt Shadows of the Empire as a cartoon
that was beautiful.
Give us a series animated like this
>His Clone Wars is still better than Filoni's
user, I rewatched my DVDs of it about a year ago. You're huffing the nostalgia way too hard.
No he's not. Genndy definitely did a much better job if only from an action standpoint.
Disney may want him, but I'd be shocked if Genndy would reciprocate an offer.
Lucasfilm un-canonized, disowned and buried Genndy Wars. They did him real dirty.
>disowned
When did they disown it? Or was it that just all part of their reasoning to retcon that whole series?
>Genndy definitely did a much better job if only from an action standpoint.
That's the problem. He did a better job ONLY from an action standpoint. And not even universally so, the overall quality of the action goes down significantly in Season 2, there's frankly high points in the Filoni show that eclipse what I'd consider the best parts of Genndy's (The Yavin fight, the Grievous chase on Coruscant and Anakin becoming a Knight)
This.
Basically, Volume 1 is fantastic. Volume 2 struggles to fill in the gaps with a subplot that has to only explain why Anakin has a scar on his face.
I loved Genndy's work, but it was impossible to fill in the gaps of the clone wars.
Also, Captain Fordo is badass, and it gave us a beautiful Grievous, but it lacked the humanity of the clones in CW 08, as well as creating years of lore and fun adventures.
CW 03 benefitted from its creative liberties, but is ultimately too short to world build. As much as I love it.
CW 08 introduces new worlds, made some EU material canon, lore about the Whills, new characters to appreciate and grow with. Granted, they did Grievous dirty and had some unnecessary arcs like the D-Squad but its positives outweigh the negatives.
Also luke looks like a twink soft uwu boy.
Leia makes me diamonds
Do you reckon Genndy would include the part where Xizor's pheromones almost make Leia rip off her clothes and masturbate?
The transition from Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting Dooku to fighting each other is fucking inspired.
As he should.
>Star Wars doesn't have a single ara ara MILF to pair Luke with.
I always knew George was a fucking hack.
Filoni Wars is okay, but what truly brings it down from becoming a good series is the lack of quality of villains.
Dooku and Grievous are the main forces behind the conflict and they hardly get any character development, but the biggest offender here is how the show doesn't even bother in making them seem genuine and believable to the audience.
Genndy Wars didn't expand on their backstories either, but at least I was interested in them and the writers obviously didn't have a problem with making it clear they were a threat.
Ventress at first has the same problem, only to later on have the series sucking up to her way too much, which is not less of a problem in comparisson to the former examples.
And Maul is literally a walking plot hole.
I've never seen either Clone Wars because spending a bunch of time watching something from that era always struck me as kinda pointless even if both shows are very good, but, I do remember one thing very clearly from Genndy Wars. Dooku is talking to this girl who's a dark Jedi, she claims to be a sith and Dooku says something to the effect of "you can act like a Sith, you can dress like a Sith, you can even kill like a Sith but you are not a Sith because Sith have no fear and I sense great fear in you."
And then he fucking bodies her with lightning. That always struck me as A) A very strong understanding of the Jedi, Sith and what's inbetween, B) More of a concerted effort to make Dooku an imposing villain than anything Episode 2 or 3 ever did.
No crossdressing either., real shame.
I love the style and animation to this. Is this an "official" Youtube series or just a fan with love for Star Wars and animation?
He is.
I don't give a single fuck about Star Wars, the only movies I watched are TFA and TLJ, the only way I know the plot of the original trilogy and prequels is through cultural osmosis. This short animated trailer actually makes the saga look amazing and interesting, and makes me wish it existed fully in this way. This just highlights how fucking superior animation is as a medium for fantasy stories to live action, and how retarded mainstream audiences are for not accepting that.
Is this the series where they redid the 'rescuing of Leia' with Luke as a retard and her basically doing everything except punching the Emp in the dick before leaving while screaming 'I'm a man and a half packing a man and a half'
