What should we learn from manga? Would you buy manga inspired comics? I know Marvel mangaverse failed miserably and OEL manga (lol) fell into oblivion without anyone noticing, but I feel now something different is happening.

More pages for less money and hopefully less capeshit
That's it

There's a simple thing to learn from manga:
They became popular in the West because they had nothing to do with the West and didn't appeal to the West, the foreign and alien isolationist aspect is what attracted oversea readers from different cultures, and therefore Manga are a testament that opposites attract and that cultural safespaces making multiculture possible in the first place need to be maintained which is done through nationalisty policy (the very definition of cultural safespace).
To attempt to change the Manga to appeal to the West is to change the very core aspects that made them attract Westerners in the first place and therefore a mental gaffe of the highest proportions. Vice Versa applies.

I get this by buying HC collections already.

>What can we learn from manga?
>When manga is a tiny slice of the pie in America compared to capeshit.
>When Shonen Jump had to go digital because it couldn't physically sell
What can we learn? That not taking cultural differences into account is really stupid.

For one getting rid of explicit wokeness.

I don't really follow either. But the best aspect of Manga in general is that the original creators seem to have creative control over their characters and stories rather than passing them around like a bong

Learn to sex appeal. It's that simple.
The best hentai artists who also happen to create lots of rape, ntr, and gangbang, are female artists.

So is this today's designated West vs. East thread?

That never ends well though. The stories rot on the vine under one writer. Just look at Bleach/YYH/MHA/DB Super. All are screaming to be revitalized by new blood because their writers just don't got it in the tank.

No, it's todays designated thread reminding the world that sexualization and objectification are positive phenomena and that only incels and low IQ people have any problem with them.

Maybe that comics shouldn’t take months just to get under a dozen issues. Or that if I buy a comic then I shouldn’t have to buy 3 other comics just to get the whole story.
Seriously, if I’m reading Spider-Man and he ends issue #13 about to fight Venom then I shouldn’t have to buy an entirely separate book to see that fight.

Is that why ntr art always have that fucking sexy appeal. I always hated ntr but their art is fucking godtier. It isn't fair.

>>When Shonen Jump had to go digital because it couldn't physically sell
this isnt true though. they just made and put the dirt cheap app because they knew piracy was spreading all over the place. its a pretty strategical and clever approach.

So women are only sex objects and men should always cave their skulls in and use them as onaholes as they were intended. Got it.

Don't forget the best artists always making futa shit.

on the other hand with Dragonball we did see what happened when other writes got a shot in the movies
and they were almost all arse

And lets not pretend that IP's getting passed around various authors hasn't resulted in a lot of dumb shit because said authors desperately wanted to change everything just so they could say they contributed

And you only gave the bad examples of what a single author can do for a series
Counterexample to those is One Piece

manga has some fucking hype fights

Your incelific post is nonsensical because women in the West have no problem designating themselves as onaholes in the public sector and men don't need to bash their heads in to use the onaholes. The public space is 90% of society,
so i can only conclude that your post and your type of mindset, those who oppose objectification and sexualization, are basement incels whether of the Feminist, Religious, or Far Right leaning which doesn't make a difference.

How to keep a series going for 15+ years without the story going anywhere.

Slice it however you like, the point is that the most success comic in Japan couldn't catch on in America.

>Muh piracy
You realize you can google whatever comic you want and read it instantly, right?

Aka the basics of having multiple waifus and sex appeal from lithe tight lolis to buxom thicc mommies and oneesans.

They're never going to reach that fucking grand line, are they?

If you are going to half-ass the coloring, you are better off going black and white which will undoubtedly look better

Learn from what? One Piece? The one manga that struck gold and outlives everything else?

>What should we learn from manga?

not a whole lot, most manga and anime people in the west are braindead powerlevel fags that just what a shiny new toy. Just to say their new toy is better and stronger than everyone else toys. The most popular anime in the west have god fucking awful plots. Save for the few that was brought over from people that actually have taste.

manga isnt that exotic anymore. the way of consuming is different from the past. most just consume it as an entertainment.

>braindead powerlevel fags that just what a shiny new toy
well, how is this different from cape comics?

>Would you buy manga inspired comics?
No, I would just buy manga. What a dumb question.

And they still lose to Bugs Bunny and Droopy Dog lol

the main readership of comics is oldfags. a bunch of them prefer physical media because of their experience and exposure in the 80s/90s and collector mindset.

also you do realise manga readers are very young, know much more about internet stuff than those oldfags.

>When manga is a tiny slice of the pie in America compared to capeshit.
Are you retarded?

They've reached the grandline a long time ago. Their in Wano country right now which is in the new world.

user it was you who brought objectification and sexualization into this thread when it had nothing to do with it. I think you are the one with a problem, since this topic seems so important to you.

>You realize you can google whatever comic you want and read it instantly, right?
Is that why they sell like shit?

Because manga fight scenes are pure filler.

>manga
>exclusively WSJ battle shonen shit
Every fucking time. Do these people actually read anything else?
