Because Final Space isn't entertaining to me. I don't find it funny at all. It also looks visually more childish to me.

Final Space. While Gary is a cringy Zapp Brannigan rip-off, he has endearing charm and actually retains the lessons he learns between episodes. Plus while the show does have a slightly nihilistic bend to it, it isn't overly preachy about it and knows that it's characters are flawed assholes who deserve a kick to the nuts. Plus characters actually had stakes in the end and had lasting sacrifices that couldn't be undone by a burping egotistical manbaby with a remote.

Rick & Morty is Unwarranted Self Importance: The Show. Even when Rick is "wrong", the universe will bend over backwards to suck his dick with little consequences other than he's sad/had a tear run down his cheek in the closing credits. It's trying way to hard to be Deadpool with Science without having the universe kick Rick in the balls enough like Deadpool gets on a daily basis.

First season of both shows were great. Final space really repeated a lot of jokes but went way darker in season 2, it really changed the feel.
