Miles redesign

So what I'm going to ask today is If you guys we're able to redesign Miles how would you do it? One of my biggest problems with him is that he's not unique enough he really just seems like Spider-Man light and I would like to fix that to make him into more of his own character.

What I was thinking was changing him to be more based on the redback spider since his color scheme is more black and red anyhow. At least having him have a separate name like Red back would help me not see him as Spider-Man Junior.

Make him a girl with a fatass.

You know horny aside those colored dreads made to match the costume with the open mouth mask isn't actually that bad of a design.

It does give a more unique silhouette. While the Spider-Man outfit generally requires it to be very sleek, I think some kind of clothing or accessory would help distinguish him from other Spider-Men.

Personally I believe just because a character has spider powers they shouldn't have an outfit exactly like Spider-Man. The Spider-Man outfit was personally made by Peter to fit his tastes and personality, other characters should have a more unique silhouette and costume style rather then uncreatively aping Peters dress sense.

Kill this nigger and pretend he never existed.

Now,now user that's not very constructive. This character is popular enough that's simply deleting them wouldn't really make sense.

Instead of spider make him get his powers be from a radioactive Jellyfish.

drop the spider theme and his mask no only covers his eyes

>This character is popular
Define "popular"
Miles is only still around because they let him die

I'd change his codename to Brown Recluse.

Hey he has a mildly successful book after floundering for 8 years and getting transplanted into 616.

Steal the design from the spiderverse movie, it portrayed him and inner city culture really well, and that's what Miles is, he's an inner city spiderman vs the classic queens spidey.
Not to mention it's way more unique then the current suit

He should always have that hoodie and shorts as part of his design
They're good for a couple of reasons, not just changing his silhouette more but also when he's flying through the air, it can serve as a good indicator of the force of the wind or inertia

the suit from the movie is cool but they could have went farther with the concept. give it more obvious spray paint touches rather than just the emblem

>call him redback a small but increadibly poisionus deadly spider
>focus more on his stealth/camoflague aspects and poision sting
>move him to his own city and give him his own villains

bam fixed

Literally what I was thinking my dude if Marvel wasn't such hacks they would just do that.

..To quote your father, to approving nods of your poor exhausted mother.

Alas, the doctor was anti-abortion.

>move him to his own city

Didn't work so great for Scarlet Kaine if I recall.

Anyway, which one? Chicago?

I still say make him a girl.
100% more viable.

- get rid of the spider theme
- a better origin story
- stop making him so submissive and beta; make him more charismatic
-give him some better design original rogues gallery

Eh, I think black characters with electricity powers if over-done.
Toxic powers are cooler, if they were willing to commit to it
Honestly, the Ultimate versions of Spiderman's rogues gallery are already basically different villains

Jelly fish man with Richard Reed invented tendril headgear replacing webbing
Miles
-Turns invisible
-Have a poisonous touch
-Is sticky
-Is spineless
It all fits

>This character is popular
Pushed != popular
If Miles can survive without the Spider-man name, then he's popular

>Scarlet Kaine if I recall.
Agree to disagree
Yost's Scarlet Spider was amazing and fun to read.
Successful? I honestly don't know, but if I had a mind to build a list, it would probably be in my top 5 of the last decade

Make him the new Tarantula

Baltimore

> electricity powers
you're thinking about eels not jellyfish

Fairweather fans dont know the difference

I would make him white

By that point he loses the main thing that separates him from Peter.
