I'm curious to see what she'll be like. After journalist MJ and whatever Michelle's supposed to be in other recent media, a more traditional Mary Jane would be nice, but jock MJ should certainly be interesting at least.

Wow, they actually whitewashed her?

I'm pretty okay with nerd boy Peter/jockette MJ as long as she gets to be confident and a bit flirty. Also, that they don't make her a supergenius like most of Peter's supporting cast in this series.

>throwing Groot into a Spiderman show
For what purpose?

Besides the merchandising

>Also, that they don't make her a supergenius like most of Peter's supporting cast in this series.
Probably don't have to worry about that, since the Midtown characters are mostly normies. Flash, MJ, and Screwball Liz could've been a fun supporting cast in another timeline.

>restored her
Fixed

The spoiler part is true, but in the "continuity" they have on these shows, the symbiotes destroyed Groot's home planet and vowed to use one of his planet's seeds to take it over. The last special in this show had Spidey stop Venom from using a space seed to signal the other symbiotes in Klyntar.

I see Kasumi from P5R got a new role in a cartoon, huh?

Is the show any good now? I stopped watching it after the Goblin Wars arc and its shitty disney magic finale.

Now that you mention it, I do see the resemblance... and now I'm fapping.

The animation is a little better and they remember to shade the characters (sometimes). Plus, they call out Max for being an arrogant asshole, which is nice.

They didn't acknowledge Otto, though, which was weird.

>They didn't acknowledge Otto, though, which was weird.
Bulli’d in life and bulli’d in death. But best boy will live on in my heart.

Last cartoon I watched was Ultimate Spider-Man, and I kinda liked the Inventor/Comedian they went for with spidey, but things seemed to lack real weight for consequences and it got really out of hand when they ditched the team for alternate spider-mans.

How does this one compare?

Flash was fun. He spends more being Peter's overbearing friend than the bully he used to be.

Though I'll never understand introducing the concept of Otto and Anna Maria being Midtown teachers when Peter is attending if they never did anything with it due to Otto's death and Peter's return to Horizon.

It's less jokey and has a more even tone than Ultimate Spider-Man. There are story arcs and some of Peter or other character's screw-ups have long-term ramifications. The whole team is made of different Spider-Mans, but it's more built up rather than introduced right away. Miles becomes a superhero around 10 episodes in, but it takes Anya and Gwen until halfway into season two to do so. The show also likes to write them off whenever possible.

It does have one flaw that USM also had in that the core premise takes away Peter's relatability. In USM, he's a SHIELD agent in training and most of his gadgets are handed to him, while in this show, he goes to a super-science school and hangs out with other super-geniuses. So, his everyman aspect is gone.

I'd say this show is still slightly better, if only because it takes itself more seriously.

Well, I supose that I can give it a second chance, since the buildup for that arc gave me goosebumps until that ending.
Is there a good MEGA or any other link to watch Season 3 in decent quality?

That Peter looks more fuckable than MJ

Might be interesting for a long watch then, How is the interactions between characters?

Anything good between Black cat and Peter?

I can't place her voice. Did they already list the cast or no?

I can't remember something beyond beign the recurrent villian, but I'm sure that they at some point did something with Miss Marvell, it was short but had potential.

IIRC Peter mostly finds her annoying, so any flirtation is one-sided, but they still have a fun back and forth. Also they got Grey Deslisle to basically voice her as Catwoman, so that’s fun.

No MEGA as far as I know. I think the first special is on YouTube and on KimCartoon. This season is really just a bunch of 44-minute specials, so there's not a lot to catch up.

It's alright. I think Peter and Harry's friendship is the most compelling part, but that can be marred by some contrived melodrama. Otherwise, Miles is just kind of there, and so are Gwen and Anya. Peter and Otto become unlikely friends post-Superior Spidey, and there is some flirty moments with Peter and Kamala in season two.

There's only one formal Black Cat episode and one short segment in the season 2 premiere. She's playful with him, but nothing flirty since she's an adult.

Felicia Day

Completely agree.

Peter is voiced by Akechi and Harry is voiced by Ryuji.

>Felicia Day
I mean, you can't say they cast her solely on popularity any more, but I'm still disappointed.

wow this looks great when shaded but the backgrounds still look like cheap cg trash and the dull colors put me off.

I think they just got her there because the showrunners worked on the Stretch Armstrong series on Netflix and she voiced a character there.

The shitty backgrounds started as back as season two of USM. I think even the second half of season two of EMH felt cheaper compared to everything else in that show.

Aunt May is way too attractive in this version

i only entered this thread because of that gilf in the middle
