Huh. You guys weren't lying when you said Infinity War was better.
I guess this is what they mean when they say "Soul vs. Soulless".

It wasn't as good, but it was still good.
Cap VS Cap, almost every single moment with Thor or Hulk, and don't forget them watching the intro to GoTG but without the music.
Infinity War kind of captured the same novelty as the first Avengers, but Endgame just felt like an obligatory "heroes win" conclusion with no interesting pay-off.
It was like going from Avengers to Age of Ultron. The novelty quickly wore off and we were left with something that felt by the numbers.
>Ant-Man time heist
>not soul
The time heist loses all interest when you realize every conflict faced in it was contrived.
but some of them are character moments and not conflicts
>Nerfed Thanos without the full Gauntlet
>No Thanos's henchman fights
>Nerfed Stormbreaker
>Captain Marvel nukes Thanos's big guns
That's my real complaint, the final fight just felt very low stakes. The only real highlight was Cap's Hammer + Shield combos
>Infinity War: not woke
>ends up being great
>Endgame: slips in wokeness
>ends up mediocre
HMMM
Really makes you think.
Going back in time to steal magic rocks from an alternate dimension by method of shrinking really small is contrived from the word go.
This definitely felt like a victory lap to shut down the people complaining the MCU has no female heroes, but also, I forgot it happened until you brought it up because it was so inconsequential, so who cares?
But dude, you didn't EXPECT that!!
I mean, sure, now our villain is completely undeveloped and has no real emotional connection with the heroes or audience and is just another generic "kill em all" guy and isnt half as interesting as the old version, but you never saw that coming!!!
Man I bet comics are just impossible for you to read then huh? Sorry about your head.
The fact you forgot it for being inconsequential also means it didn't really add to the film, which does matter since these films are so damn long. It's also not the only woke scene (gay dude crying to Cap, Thor giving up his responsibility to Valkyrie, Falcon cucking Bucky for the shield), with the latter two being pretty big deals for shitting on Thor's development and all the foreshadowing for Bucky throughout the series
>we need to get all of the stones in one easy to find place in the past since we have only so many pym particles
>should we go back to that planet Stark and the others were fighting Thanos on? Thanos had 4 stones and Dr. Strange had another. Thanos was literally incompacitated until Star Lord fucked everything up right? War Machine could just punch Star Lord and Thor could decapitate Thanos. We zip back to wakanda and wait for Vision to have his stone removed. Then we head back to our dimension and save our own with no possible threat to stop us and the other universe safe and sound.
>Nah that's stupid, let's overcomplicate things wasting more pym particles to see our previous adventures from another perspective!
>I still get to punch Star Lord right?
>of course War Machine! Everyone hates Star Lord now.
You seem to have forgotten that everyone who knew that Quill’s plan for Thanos actually worked, was either KO’d (Nebula and Rocket) during the near ungloving, or just weren’t there to help out during the planning process. Tony was never fully onboard with the idea of changing the past and the only thing he did was build the machines. I kind of feel like you’re just quoting some YouTube who saw the movie while posting on line and doing housework at the same time.
Infinity War says that plan would have failed. Doctor Strange says that the only possible chance for it to work is if they do everything exactly as they did in Endgame. :)
Stark literally witnessed the plan almost succeed himself. He was literally trying to to talk Quill out from doing something dumb. You're telling me that Stark wouldn't have thought to go back and double up the support. Or i don't know have thor chop thanos's arm off.
>but Endgame just felt like an obligatory "heroes win" conclusion with no interesting pay-off.
Iron Man died.
And cap retired, hulk is out of commission entirely, widow may or may not be dead depending if she was a skrull or not.
IW was more plot-driven with a lot of flashy fights, Endgame was more character-driven with just one big flashy fight at the end. Both are great movies, but I can see why people with ADHD are more inclined towards IW.
The hate for that scene is overblown when the film was just bursting with fan service from Cap picking up the Hammer to Spider-Man activating instant kill.
Besides, we get more Mantis that way.
I think the point was that when all the Avengers and heroes are on a united front, they were absolutely unstoppable.
>Cap picking up the Hammer
A follow-up to foreshadowing from Age of Ultron
>Spider-Man activating instant kill
A piece of continuity to show that the stakes are really high and that Spider-Man has to go all out compared to Homecoming
>girl power scene with a bunch of strangers that don't know each other randomly posing for the camera
Ah yes, a clear reference to that...uh, one scene...from, uh...and shows development...sort of...um...yeah...
The battle on titan was better and felt more epic.
That's not even remotely true.
It is and it looked like it was lifted from a comic book, especially the bits with Dr Strange.
Cap lifting Mjolnir and battling Thanos with it has reached literally icon status, alone. I like the Titan fights, but none of them made top trending a year or so after the movie came out.
>but none of them made top trending a year or so
[citation needed]
>Thor or hulk
Oh so you're a legitimate faggot? Nothing was entertaining about the flanderized garbage either if those two became.
The only truly good scene in Endgame was tony and his father. May actually be the one real emotional moment with real screen time given to letting that emotional beat settle. No quip or anything just true emotion.
Otherwise the movie was largely atrocious and actively shit on multiple character arcs.
>I-I forgot it happened
Shut up.
>The only truly good scene in Endgame was tony and his father.
>Wrong actor for Howard Stark
cringe
I agree with him. I notice you decided to shift the subject of discussion from the topic to user. Explain why it isn't contrived.
We get it. You're a faggot.
Literal faggot confirmed.
>If I say faggot it means I'm not defending faggot propaganda
I'm sure that 5 second scene made the movie that much worse.
IW is an overall better made movie, while Endgame is an average movie with more fanboy bait.
