Sure, which is why Ivy is a mostly monotone, uncaring and bored character. Totally in line with the in your face, cunning schemer who used a variety of weapons, not just her plants, when she didn't have plant powers(DCAU version) or wasn't afraid to spam them the moment things got hairy.

She also desired change in the world and instead of moaning about petty things like glass ceilings she broke in there and fucked shit up just because she could(Her first meeting with Harley in any medium), she was always the one dragging Harley along whenever the two teamed up(When she took over bruce) because she knew she had to take charge to change the world.

But I'm sure since you brought it up, you can name a single iteration that this character is similar to. And no, you can't use "Daria"

I get the appeal of the show but it's not really my thing. I really think better voice direction/acting would improve things and make the jokes land better. Even Alan Tudyk seems off and I usually love him.

I think I finally figured out what my problem with the show is. The jokes are just too telegraphed. Like it's always reminding me I'm watching a show. Granted I have yet to see a full episode. But when I do I'll probably wrote an autistic essay on here about why I don't like it.

You just listed a bunch of surface details that have nothing to do with the heart of the character. If you actually payed attention to the show you'd know that Ivy has all of these traits except now she has actual personality, flaws and insecurities behind them.

What a wonderful understanding of the character. You could write for the show for how well you understand a character with over 50 years of history and a variety of different incarnations that all share the same trait of forwards and outgoing personality that pushes her to fight against what she perceives as a threat to the world by direct actions and very little talk on the matter.

This dull bitch has less personality then Batman and Robin's, all of her personality was muted and deleted because a fighter like her wouldn't fit with the crushed archtype of "Disinterested best friend" that is more tired due to overuse in sitcoms than a character that predates the moon landing.

She doesn't do anything after her breakout until the season 1 finale, she bitches and moans about the legion of doom being a boys club when THREE, count them, three different iterations of Ivy have attacked "Boys clubs", one of them with Harley in their first meeting in the show and the other attacked the fucking legion of Doom. This one spent the entire season one on a subplot worrying about people seeing her with Kiteman. You know what Ivy did in Sirens when someone didn't like her boytoy? She messed them up because she doesn't allow anyone to look down on her.

That version was less powerful than this version.

She is not, she's quiet and slow to act, and when she does its quiet and without much fanfare. The entire finale hinged on her sneaking into a facility quietly with a couple plants.

How do you look at that and think "Yep, this is the same brash person who, depending on version, crashed a car into a volatile factory and blew it up with plants, tore an entire factory apart with plants, or sent giant plant monsters to attack." all of which this version should be able to do.
