It's boring.

It got talked about plenty and was a huge hit for two seasons.
Reactions varied around season 3 but most people hated it by season 4 or that's at least when the quality dropped enough to just not warrant interest. It's like when the new family guy comes out, there might be a thread or a mention the night of but it just happens, it's not an event.

It was great when it started but then it just became boring. It's like Simpsons if it became zombified in season 4 instead of season 10

Archer: Vice started out promising but fizzled out by the end. The season immediately after that was a nice return to form, the season after that one was shakey, and from there on out its been gimmicks and filler and it just feels like they're stretching it out for as long as they possibly can without any real vision or goal.

literally like 3 seasons of filler. none of it progressed the plot or added details about the characters.

First 3 seasons when it was a workplace comedy set in a spy agency were great. Then it just went to shit. Any pretext of isis and sterling being competent went out the window. Story lines where they were specifically hired, because they were expected to fuck it up.

the flanderized characters were run through a series of one off stories.

ISIS but cocaine dealers. ISIS but private detectives. ISIS but it's a noir detective thriller. ISIS but it's an interwar pulp adventure. ISIS but it's a cheesy 80s sci fi series.

The very definition of why a show should never drag on for longer than a couple of seasons. They keep trying to reinvent the series by having it take place in different settings, but the writing and characters are the same so it all feels extremely pedestrian now.

They could have just made Sterling a stat at home dad. The others all go find new work away from each other. New core characters in sterling and lana's life. While the old core cast show up in ones or twos to drive the story of the episode.

Sterling quits drinking(as much) and whoring( completely) to attempt to be a good father. Since he never had one in his life. Lana has an executive level security job in some tech company.
