Its so fucking terrible how DCAU fags shit on any new batman series that isn't 100% their precious BTAS.
Even beware the batman had alot of good stuff, and it died faster than The batman. But seriously, why the hell did this series die? It was great, it did all the villains justice, and it made batman cool again.
The Batman got five seasons/65 episodes and a movie. That's honestly a great deal. I wish action cartoons could even reach 26 episodes today.
Kayden Reed
>Voltron had 78 episodes >Young Justice has had 72 with another season on the way >She-ra has had 39 and will get another 13 The issue isn't that Action cartoons aren't getting episodes, it's that there aren't very many action cartoons in the first place
Owen Miller
calling 13 episodes "a season" is just disengenous, its a half season.
it basically got 2 1/2 seasons, that's not impressive, that's basic Syndication. It went the absolute minimum that series go before cancelation (Barring extreme failures)
Thomas Phillips
How many times are we going to have this thread?
Jason Cruz
13 episodes is totally a season, assuming they're 22 minutes
Owen Myers
I liked their interpretation of Harley as a Dr. Phil style TV pop psychologist. It's a shame that interpretation isn't used for more stuff. I also liked the Ethan Bennett version of Clayface and I'm kinda surprised he hasn't been introduced introduced into the comics yet. The last season with the Justice League crossovers wasn't as fun but overall I liked the show. Fun stuff!
Gavin Walker
the designs were shitty
Ryan Taylor
They made Mr. freeze cool again.
Alexander Howard
There's four seasons in a year. Can you tell me how many weeks are in a season?
Interesting that two of those are on streaming and the other one had to be revived on streaming to get that far. Action cartoons are sent to die on cable.
The show actually treated each 13-episode block as a season with a beginning and an end. Teen Titans, Legion of Super Heroes and Batman: The Brave and the Bold treated them that way.
Hudson Garcia
>I liked their interpretation of Harley as a Dr. Phil style TV pop psychologist. Dini himself wrote the episode. It was a leftover aspect from his original DCAU origin for Harley that never got fully elaborated on.
Not sure what you're asking about besides the bad writing and people in the DC universe being way too damned easy to convince that superman goes evil (Its happened several times and people basically turn into Spiderman's new yorkers when it does with how they gobble it down)
Jackson Johnson
>Its so fucking terrible how DCAU fags shit on any new batman series that isn't 100% their precious BTAS. Is this actually the case tho. I went from dcau to that just fine. My problem is more with the past decade or so.
Joshua Richardson
The Batman suffered from each season upping the scales so much and dropping off characters constantly.
It's been that way for a LONG time. I mean 13, 26, 52, and 65 episodes have been the standard episode numbers for season. Then you have odd balls like Robotech which had 85 episodes which roughly a third of a year.
Cameron Miller
That was a great joker, GTFO. He even did a batman that laughs style plot ahead of its time with him trying to turn batman into a joker so he could be batman.
Parker Flores
The Batman fans really have a bone to pick with the DCAU. They just can't bring up and defend their mediocre show without making it a point to shit on TAS first and foremost.
Xavier Sanders
Its because it utterly destroys the other shows so the only way to compare it to its predecessor is to try and tear BTAS first with a bunch of arbitrary shit.
Eli Thompson
I regret making that Joker 2020 thread sometime ago now.
Justin Turner
>The batman was a great Cartoon
1. lick toilets 2.catch corona 3.die
Isaiah Ward
i remember babs being cute in this one, i should give it a rewatch i don't remember most of it
>Its so fucking terrible how DCAU fags shit on any new batman series that isn't 100% their precious BTAS.
do people still do that? i think i got a lot of appreciation for all the dc animated universes after brave and the bold came out i wish this batman could come back in some kind of big animated crisis type movie
