What did I think of it, Zig Forums?
One of the best adult artoons currently
Garbage, literally Rick and Morty but with more shallow characters.
Terrible
The Wall segments are infinitely more interesting and it's just a generic rebellion story
Hard pass
I hate Dan "Fatfuck McFattyfatfat Depressed Drunk Fat Fatty Fatfat" Harmon and even I gave up halfway through the series.
felt like if you took rick and morty, diluted it with water, and added a very very tiny pinch of the simpsons. Occasionally some good writing and storytelling pops up, but as soon as you start to get interested it becomes bland and unfulfilling again.
It couldn't go two minutes every episode without some stupid movie title drop. Filled to the brim with basic references and no real humor to speak of.
Pretty funny. The amount of references and hulu shilling was odd though. Makes it feel disposable, like they don't care if people will still get it a decade from now. Also why the fuck would they advertise hulu when most people will be watching it ON hulu in the first place?
Why is he so fat and scruffy?
I only caught one Hulu joke, were there more? And that's all adult 'humor' is these days, clap when they say the thing you know.
Tries WAY TOO hard to be edgy and vulgar, characters die in every episode in gory manners, they swear too much, ugly artstyle, and the characters are bland.
It's just your typcal shitty adult cartoon. Nothing special about it.
i was apprehensive at first because rick and morty exists, and even as i ended up liking it, it has so much of the same tropes.
i was so expecting the bear to smash the whole wall and that would be the punchline to the whole rebellion things, but i'm glad it's still there.
Can't throw away a milkable plot thread for a joke, what do you think this is, a comedy show?
Not him, but this is the only one I can remember. Been a while since I saw the series.
>Been a while since i saw the series
It's not even a week old
there were like 3 references to hulu over the season. which is 3 too many really.
It's hard to remember every joke when you binge eight episodes in a row. God, I hate how this release format has become the new normal.
Kinda weak at first, but slowly became entertaining. I hope there is a Season 2.
It's weird, because I felt just the opposite. The show is a lot more optimistic and feel-good than Rick and Morty.
>there were like 3 references to hulu over the season
A ridiculous high number for a 8 episodes season
I liked it, it's got a similar sense of humor to R&M without the pretentious cynicism that tends to drag that down. Only complaint is that the sit-com structure of the thing necessarily means the plots are a little more by-the-numbers than R&M which is is pretty free to do whatever it wants by design.
It's alright but there's nothing significant separating it from Rick and Morty.
I was bored watching it for the first few episodes but it started to grow on me towards the end of the season. I'll check out season 2 if/when it comes out but if it doesn't improve by then I probably won't continue beyond that.
You could just pace yourself unless you really care about spoilers.
>What did I think of it
I don't fucking know, what did you think of it?
I would say this is a pretty big flaw of the show. They barrage you with jokes so fast that after the episode ends it's hard to remember.
>The amount of references
I was surprised this got reference, and it was on point of what the actual plot of the movie. Not just for the sake of a joke like "Suicide Squad"
I liked this nod, but I hate how they explicitly announce these references a few seconds later. It's like explaining a joke twice.
I liked it. There was more consistency and depth to the lore surrounding the Shlorpians and Shlorp than I would have thought. Usually I don't like random gore and violence but it gets to sheer ridiculous levels in this show and then they have the cop say "Mysterious high-concept deaths are very common in this town" and that made me chuckle. It's just a shame that it was only 8 episodes since I binged it and burned through it like I do with most things that don't require too much effort to consume.
He refuses to not engage in the gluttony and sloth.
Yeah, except dan harmon is not even on this project.
