Isn’t cobbler supposed to be really easy to make?

Just makes some dude, cobbler is basically just pie but like ten times easier to make since you don't have to worry about the structure of the crust.

Take it to /trash/ vorefag.

Those are some giga pickles

Same. In my region we usually only have doughboys available. Which are good too, but the funnel cake variety is more novel for me because I come by it much less often.

this scene made me want to try a TAB so fucking bad but they dont sell them in my country

If you have canned or fresh fruit, an oven or slow cooker, and some common normal pantry staples, you probably could make it right now.

You're not missing out on anything, it's just mildly flavored tap water.

Pickles?

I’ve tried twice now, and I can never get this pie to come out right. I’m starting to think it might actually be a shitty idea for a pie after all.

Sorry for Zig Forums.

I still have to be me in the real world though?

goddammit now i want cobbler

>herring and pumpkin pie
that sounds foul

I just read the filename, plum sounds like a strange ingredient for cobbler, but I might try that next time I'm baking.

you can easily make these at home

I just got back from the grocery store a couple hours ago, and they even had peaches, but I didn’t get any. I’d really been thinking about at least getting strawberries, but today they only had the really big packages available, and I just can’t eat that many before they go bad. Now the only fruit I’ve got is a few apples that might be too old.

It is, but especially if you use pickled herring, as in the recipe I was trying. Maybe there are better brands of pickled herring out there and the one I was using was just bad, I dunno. I think maybe it could be less bad if I try canned herring next time. I already happen to like canned herring. But I dunno about making it work with pumpkin, and in pot pie form.

just make a meat pie like a normal person

i don't know what they are, but i want them.

I did end up using the instructions for the roux from the pickled herring pie recipe to make a really good chicken pot pie and turkey pot pie, and I’ve made tourtiere as well. But I still wanna figure out how to make a herring pumpkin pie work as well.

is there an official recipe?
i just went and watched a few youtube videos on it
nobody is using pickled herring. theyre just using whitefish filet
one of them didnt even use pumpkin at all

I didn’t save the link because the pie turned out so crap and I didn’t want to do it that way again, but I remember I just googled it and picked a link that popped up once I found one with ingredients and instructions I thought I could do. I think it was on pinterest or something. It definitely wasn’t a video recipe.

The movie very specifically says it’s made with pumpkin though, so I don’t consider any recipe that doesn’t have some kind of pumpkin to be the same pie. Though I noticed there’s a slight debate over whether it should be a japanese variety of pumpkin or a european one.

chicken & dumplings, according to Muriel

It's incredibly common and easy to make.

>Though I noticed there’s a slight debate over whether it should be a japanese variety of pumpkin or a european one.
doesnt the movie take place in sweden?
as long as it's a baking squash and you mash it up real good i dont think it'd make much difference in the end flavor-wise. butternut squash would probably be fine

Not Zig Forums, but Boy Scouts made the best and easiest cobbler.

Yeah, apparently a lot of the city was modeled after Stockholm. Though technically it takes place in a fantasy world where witches exist and World War 2 never happened, so it’s not officially In a real world country.
