My parents have a lot of nostalgia for their properties, but my parents haven't seen a movie in theaters since the 90s, so their entire demographic might as well not exist. That's probably why they're trying to backdoor pilot everything they have through Scooby Doo, to introduce zoomers to them and see if somethings sticks.

They have a shit load of properties. Depending on how old you are, the original boomerang was our introduction to that and it was fantastic. Waking up on Saturday mornings and seeing a shit ton of new shows was great. Herculoids, Space Ghost, Birdman, Moby Dick, Shazzan, Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, Wacky Races, Mighty Mightor, Godzilla. All top tier.

They should have taken notes from dark universe on how NOT to start a cinematic universe, it's supposed to be natural and given time to build up. This is arguably worse than dark universe since it's more obvious but considering how well trolls 2 did it'll probably make bank anyway
