The military-themed guy with the D on his face because he seems somewhat goofy yet capable of being a serious threat should the occasion call for it. The one on the left just looks like another female MC and the middle looks like a villain that the writers try to make serious but nobody likes and ends up getting BTFO five seconds into his battle.

Honestly it's a bit of a letdown but here's hoping someone else takes up the mantle.

I'm going with Punchline. Though there is speculation that Clownhunter will end up joining Joker's gang given his characterization and appearance. Designer? He's dead, unless Tynion or somebody wants to pull a switcheroo later

Add the girl Nightwing from a couple of decades ago and Cassandra Cain batgirl. And Azrael. We need this future generation of Batman villains to rise above the old timers. Let's see how many modern Batman characters we can get who are different enough from the circus style classic villains.

Punchline. That way Harley gets to keep being an anti-hero, Joker still gets to have a cute clown girlfriend. Everyone wins.

You know how The Designer was using tech to puppeteer corpses? Well Joker's been using it the whole time, using it on Designer's corpse. This was all a ruse to distract Batman while he works on a bigger scheme. It leads into Joker War

They're both acceptable characters in theory. The problem is integrating them with the cast, and in Harper's case they could't resist making her an annoying Mary Sue. Any of these newer characters could work too if they're handled in a way that doesn't make them actively irritating to readers.

I don't know who those characters but The Signal and Gordan's Robot/Armor Batman would have been a good team.

I liked the idea of Duke being Gotham's daytime hero and Harper could've been his sidekick. They just needed a good writer to do something better with them.

I just think Harper and Duke would work better under Nightwing in Bludhaven. Plus their color schemes compliment each other.
Harper Row is "Bluebird" and Duke Thomas is "The Signal". Really as is they're just redundant

The core "idea" behind Harper as basically Harold but with tits is great.
The core "idea" behind Duke as "the superhero that handles gotham while Batman is sleeping all day" is fine too.
Shame about the execution, but at least they had the good sense to completely abandon Harper when they realized how much the readers hated her

As for picking, only knowing the clown guy and punchline. Clown guy. Problem is he gets shit done and we can't have blatant correct actions in a Batman comic. Gotta show how he's evil for protecting himself and others against murderers.

If Gotham became Balkanized due to federal collapse then Bluebird, GordanBatman, The Signal and a couple of other characters could try and hold down entire city. Maybe make Gotham City the entire east coast and give superman the rest America. Sort of like Injustice except Superman does everything he can to give Batman and America elbow room. You know, to give something for the villains to fight over.. She looks good with her guns as a sort of last resort so to speak for GCPD.
The Signal could b m of a daytime public outreach sort of thing. RobotArmor Gordan could be who shows up in between, the grown up, the responsible one.
We need a Gotham Shutdown part two like before Cassie showed up.

Nightwing is probably the best fit, yes. Bruce and Tim have literally no need for a tech-focused assistant, and Jason is already street.

He's "The Designer". He's supposed to be a last generation master criminal no one has ever heard of, like a Moriarty of some sort. But the problem is that we don't know a damn thing about him, and likely never will given recent info

I'd read that as an elseworlds. A Gotham Nation where Gotham has become most of the northeast and the Bat-Family are their own mini justice leauge. It's bat-wank but at least it'd be different.

So he's a generic crime dude, who does crime for fun, and he's real good at it? No gimicks? No shit back story? No bullshit powers? A... decent Batman villain? AND HE LOOKS DOPE? I think I might cry.

Well he has technology that turns corpses into his puppets. Maybe they'll reveal he's actually fine, or someone else inherits the mantle
