SUPERMAN & LOIS Synopsis And Cast

>After years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s greatest superhero, Clark Kent AKA Superman (Tyler Hoechlin, "Teen Wolf") and his wife, intrepid journalist Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, "Grimm"), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society - Whose jobs happen to be saving the world.

>Complicating the already daunting task of raising two teenage boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, "Little Fires Everywhere"), a charismatic athlete, and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, "The Peanuts Movie"), an introverted loner, could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.

>Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, "Entourage"), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark’s first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, "Graceland"). The adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter, Sarah Lang (Inde Navarrette, "Wander Darkly"), which sparks new feelings within the trio.

>Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, "Nip/Tuck") looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Clark and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be further upended when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, "All-American") enters their lives, seeking revenge against Superman for the destruction of his universe in the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

CLARK KENT / SUPERMAN (Tyler Hoechlin)

>The Man of Steel. After being fired from the Daily Planet, Clark leads his family back to Smallville to rebuild Kent Farm, balancing his duties as the Earth’s protector with his responsibilities as a husband and father, where he faces challenges as great than Kryptonite.

LOIS LANE (Elizabeth Tulloch)

>The world’s greatest reporter. Lois accompanies her husband back to Smallville, but remains employed by the Daily Planet. Between looking after her sons and adjusting to small town life, Lois uncovers a sinister conspiracy and sets out to learn the truth.

JONATHAN KENT (Jordan Elsass)

>Clark and Lois' eldest son. Clean-cut, modest and kindhearted, with an old school attitude that somehow doesn’t seem dated. A star athlete who’s already garnering attention from college and pro scouts, and is eager to prove himself, no matter the challenge.

JORDAN KENT (Alex Garfin)

>Clark and Lois' younger son. A wildly intelligent loner with an inherent darkness to him, whose mercurial temperament and social anxiety limit his interactions with people. Consequently, he spends most of his free time working on computers. Jordan resents his father for his frequent absences, and feels like an alien in his own family.

LANA LANG (Emmanuelle Chriqui)

>A loan officer who stayed in Smallville when others left for something bigger and brighter. Lana is married to firefighter Kyle Cushing and has a daughter, Sarah. She re-establishes her friendship with Clark Kent during one of the most difficult periods in her life, struggling with Kyle's alcoholism and Sarah's depression, and is pulled into a conspiracy that threatens her life.

KYLE CUSHING (Erik Valdez)

>Smallville’s fire chief and local hero, who’s seen his fair share of tragedy and often turns to alcohol to cope with it. He is married to Lana Lang and they have a daughter, Sarah. Small town raised with small town beliefs, Kyle doesn’t care much for the big city and often clashes with people that come from it, and he has a particular bone to pick with the Kents.

WHY DO THEY HATE REDHEADS?

>Bootleg Nina Dobrev

SARAH CUSHING (Inde Navarrette)

>Kyle and Lana's daughter. A whip-smart, supercool wild child with some demons in her past that almost drove her to suicide. Sarah quickly becomes friends with Jonathan and Jordan Kent despite her father's objections, and develops a strong bond with Jordan which might evolve into something more.

why does Lois look so strange?
I can't pinpoint it exactly, but her face doesn't look normal compared to literally any other woman. Was it surgery?

Also I pic related is the best adaption of the characters ever.

GENERAL SAM LANE (Dylan Walsh)

>Lois' estranged father. A no-nonsense, high-ranking military officer who is determined to keep America and the world safe from all threats – from this world or beyond. Even if it means working with the superpowered alien son-in-law that he disapproves of. Lane is a workaholic who demands nothing but excellence from all those in his life, even at the cost of driving them away.

It's not the first Lana Lang that isn't a ginger in the CW.

>when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, "All-American")
Black Lex. Blex?

THE STRANGER / LEX LUTHOR (Wolé Parks)

>A mysterious visitor clad in an armored suit that allows him to mimic Superman's powers, hellbent on proving to the world that it no longer needs the Man of Steel. Behind his mask, he is none other than Lex Luthor from a parallel universe that was destroyed in the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and now seeks to bring Earth-Prime to its knees. As deviously brilliant as any Luthor, and twice as deadly, The Stranger will prove himself to be Superman's greatest challenge yet.

>an armored suit that allows him to mimic Superman's powers
Sounds like a weird mix between Steel/cyborg superman and Luthor actually.

Like he plans on playing hero to make superman redundant.

Emmanuelle has been around long before Nina Dobrev was a thing.

Who the fuck is Jordan Kent?

New OC for the show his name is suppose to be a reference to Jor-El.

I think she has a lazy eye.

Hate that they are doing the OC but credit where credits due, that's actually a clever name that I missed right until you pointed it out.

Man, if they were doing OCs they should've made a daughter for Supes and Lois. They could've just used Connor as a brother figure.

Didn't superman called himself Jordan too after he gave up his powers?

It's also a reference to Jordan Elliot, Superman's alias after he faked his death in Alan Moore's "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"

why would the kids not have powers already when in their teens?

Why not just use Pete Ross? Why an OC?

she just looks old

I bet they're gonna do some shitty drama with him trying to fuck Lois

Probably because they want to introduce Pete and have Lana divorce her husband and get with him rather than have him become abusive.

You don’t remember many Lois versions.

SPOILER: One of them does.

Why when they change the races of traditionally white characters, they always keep the names the same? From white to black, it’s fine. But when white to Latino, Asian, etc, it becomes less plausible. Are all these characters just half white on their dad’s side? Spectacular Spider-Man had Ned Leeds become Ned Lee. Why not do the same for the others?

>A star athlete who’s already garnering attention from college and pro scouts
Looks like Jon is already abusing his powers and somehow Jordan will end up be the bad guy

This was pitched as a sequel to Smallville. Welling was begged for almost a year to sign on, but refused to wear the suit. They wanted to use Crisis as a way to bring him and Erica's Lois to Earth Prime. Kinda like how Post Crisis Superman and Lois returned and replaced Superbro in the New 52 comics.

This was going to be a huge promotional thing for the network, but even with AT&T stepping in to offer him 500k an episode, he still said no. They were going to cut the budgets of the other shows to help make up the difference since they're all sold as a bulk catalog to Netflix. That's actually why the CW axed Brandon from Legends. After Grant and Stephen he was the most expensive actor on any of the Arroverse shows. Stephen was already leaving and Flash is their top rated show, so Brandon was informed that he was getting fired for the network budget. That's why he was so pissed about how he got fired.

Then Tom just put his foot down and demanded that not only would he not play in the suit, if they wanted him in Crisis, they had to get rid of his powers so they never had an out to bring him back. No one was happy.

They gave Brandon the Superman role in Crisis to try to smooth things over a bit, but they never expected people to be so excited about seeing him as Superman. If they had, they would have offered HIM this show and just played the same Super-Swap with his Superman.

Yeah. These are the same people who messed up a chance to have Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul for an entire season of Arrow, so don't be too shocked that they are this bad at casting their shows.

Tyler is basically still Superman by default. He's not thrilled to have been second choice to the network and third choice to the fans, but he's got a starring role in a Superman show, so probably the closest we have to a happy person in this mess.

But why though?

Actually, Jordan has powers and Jon doesn't. Clark actually suspects Jon's athletic abilities might be a result of his powers at first, though.
