I like her videos and actually used some of them to help improve my writing. She'll never be as influential as my librarian was, but she did help out with getting rid of a few kinks.

Also Blue is better overall if you just like the education aspect of the channel. His situation is also nearly identical to me so I feel for him.

What's OSP? How am I supposed to know what you are talking about? Speak like a Human and not a Rogue Artificial Intelligence.

I like them, but its more about liking their content in general then anything about their art style, although I think its rather cute

OSP is a fagsgot

>non-clickbait
>educational channel
>doesnt add filler to reach the 10 minute mark (fuck you infographics)
>rejects mobile game sponsorship
They're unironically based and I have the highest respect for them. That being said red should draw porn.

Oops wrong pic

I find it a little hard to believe she hasn't

just that she is smart enough to keep it to herself

>His situation is also nearly identical to me so I feel for him.
explain? I know he got engaged recently.

>I know he got engaged recently.
Oh shit, he did? I was under the impression that he too was in love with an asexual girl that didn't reciprocate his feelings.
I'm fine, I swear.

stay strong user

only girls I've ever fallen in love with were lesbians

youtube.com/watch?v=NFyJGXicgPY

The closest you'll ever get is her Stranger in a Strange Land video
youtube.com/watch?v=3jAkplrZci0

Also, no, the first pic was perfect.

She is not into that kind of thing, though.

She's asexual so she shouldn't have made any herself

Asexuality isn't real

I hate these kinds of Youtubers.
Not for what they do. Their content and what they aim for is fine. What I hate is the kind of people they accidentally create, who instead of taking their videos as a jumping point to go learn about something in more dept, take it as word of God and think themselves holders of truth.
At the end, most educational channels fail at educating and only produce bumbling idiots that believe they understand everything much in the same way brainlets who only read summaries tend to do.

fair, but it sounds more like you just hate stupid people and shouldn't blame the youtubers for that

What even worse is the fact my parents are convinced she's in love with me too despite me already having the big anime confession scene with her, my insistence that she isn't, and her insistence that she really only sees me as her best friend both to me and my parents.

user, what the result is is that they still end up more educated than if they had been just let on their own devise. they would have never sought that kind of information on their own anyway.

It"s still a net positive, in the end.

Newest video youtube.com/watch?v=VdMXFQ-AE8o
It's a Loki story

Fun thing, I thought I was rather well versed in the greek mythos, knew basically all of the tale she told about but then they put out that video on Typhon and it was one tale I had never heard about.
youtube.com/watch?v=fKNR067Aqbk

It's kind of strange the Greek Mythos actually had an avengers-like story (yes, I know the Greek myths did it before Avengers was even a thing).

>Oh shit, he did?
Yup. And just to be clear it's not with red

like the trope talk vids.
Honestly talking about what makes a story tic and finding particular elements of a story that gravitate to me is fun.

overall pretty positive. They're both good at communicating complex historical and literary topics in ways that younger viewers might better understand.
Red can be a bit stuck up, though, and is really set in her opinions about things. She dismisses most criticism as brainless fanboys nitpicking even when they're making good points. But she's still really entertaining, and brings up a lot of good points.

Blue... well,
>he doesn't draw the pics
>he doesn't play music over the credits
>his videos are in general far less compelling than Red's
>and his grasp of history, while thorough when it comes to Middle Ages/Renaissance Europe, is pretty sketchy basically everywhere else
But he owns up to these flaws, well except #3. So at least he's clear with his weaknesses. And he's definitely been trying to shore up that last point recently, with a ton of recent videos outside of that sphere. I enjoy him, and he's great for kids in school. But I'd still recommend Oversimplified over him.

It is stupid people who I hate. But ultimately is the youtuber's actions the one that facilitate the existence of the kind of moron I'm talking about.
I'm not saying youtubers should stop or that they are at fault or the only factor in all this. Just that Youtube's popularity makes them an important vector.
I don't think being wrongly educated is better than being ignorant.
The ignorant is open to learn something for the first time.
The wrongly educated will hold onto his previous knowledge with all their might and are prone to fight back anything new, no matter if their knowledge is incomplete, skewed, or straight up false.
Many years ago a classmate of mine flipped out during Latin because the names of the gods and monsters were, by his account, all wrong. This statement was based on what he had learned from things like motherfucking World of Warcraft and Hercules the animated series. He proceeded to burn the rest of the hour arguing with the entire class, fighting tooth and nail for the simple reason of not wanting to acknowledge that he just didn't know.
Over the years I've seen this kind of behaviour spread like the plague both online and IRL, because for all the tools we have to educate ourselves people still prefer to consume a snippet and run with it. They prefer to tell themselves they know more than having to learn.
I won't claim this is new in human society, just that the growth in population and the developments in communication technology have made it a bigger thing.

It might not really count as porn, but any artist who draws long enough will make at least a few nudes - if for no other reason than to get a better grasp of the human form.

Red draws some very cute boys. And I like how she delves into the more gayer myths, which I feel a lot of myth storytellers gloss over.

I enjoy their videos, cute artstyle
Also blue has a fetish for my city so all good

which one? Venice? Rome? As far as I can tell he has a fetish for most classical cities

He almost certainly means Florence - Blue fucking goes off on a tangent about it any time Italy or architecture is even casually mentioned

Venice yeah

Attached: 0722qIR.jpg (1440x1198, 122.63K)

>Don't mind me, just sacking the last bastion of the Roman Empire and ensuring its future collapse and conquest by the Turks because I'm too pussy to attack the Ayyubids

Pay your rent, tenant.

Venice just carted those guys around, the 4th Crusade wasn't their idea

but I mean is anyone surprised the Crusaders are dumb asses who do more harm to Christian society than good?
