I'm not defending the characters norally, but in fairness, it happens spur of the moment after they've almost died and Harley has sacrificed her life for Ivy's. Adrenaline and emotion.

Their expressions right after make it seem like they know it's a mistake because of Kite Man. I mean they're also mass murderers and Harley in particular was ready to murder an innocent child, so it's laughable they should care about cheating, but their faces are very WTF and I think they'll feel bad.

The Cat Woman episode made it clear that we're supposed to like Kiteman

Kite Man and Ivy aren't meant for each other, and here's why.

Ivy couldn't be a more polar opposite of him. She's cynical, brutally honest, and reserved; nothing like Kite Man at all. Both of them know that on paper this relationship does not make sense, but for differing reasons, they're trying to make sure it'll happen.

Kite Man's self-esteem is much lower than it looks. He's desperate. He thinks that after someone like Ivy he has no chances at finding an actual soulmate. He doesn't try to learn more about her, because she unintentionally makes herself look all-clean and easy to get, as if there's is nothing important to learn. And whenever he's getting to the part where he can learn and change, Ivy (again, unintentionally) stops it dead in it's track and leaves his insecurities unresolved, never letting him stay long enough in reality, because she wants it safe.

She never says a straight "no" to him, or at least never commits to it actually meaning anything (the closest thing to that was her moment with him in glass trap in episode 3, and even then, afterward he pushed him to propose to her anyway).

I wonder if this is how it's going to go till the finale.
