Why does this suit look so horrible? It looks even worse than the suits in the Dark Knight trilogy. Why is it so hard for them to make it comic book accurate? They only got it right once, but the movie sucked.

From what we've seen, the suit is grim n' gritty while Gotham is gothic with zeppelins and the Rogues are (hopefully) heightened.
That could work, tonally, if it's more of a Burton Gotham and you have this brutal Nolan Batman attacking it. That's interesting.
I don't have a lot of faith, though.

In the comics he fights via god damn ambush. He's not tanking bullets and swords. Batman shouldn't god damn need armor. He should be jumping on rooftops and ganking people from the shadows.

OP here, I think if they changed the goggles, gauntlets and gave him a cape, it would look at least somewhat better. I want to believe that they're going for a cobbled together, starter suit that will eventually be changed to a more comic styled one as the movie goes on, but I have my doubts on it. It just seems like the live action movies love going the "it's real people, so it needs to be practical" route with costumes, sans BvS, (to maybe give it a broader appeal?) and forget that they can make it unrealistic as possible like other comic movies like Watchmen or Kickass.

I get that Peter doesn't have as many advantages as Batman so he HAS to be sneaky and clunky armor would make that difficult, but Batgod should still be sneaky too because his infinite intelligence should tell him to fight smart, not hard.

Sneaking is limited and under several situations just impossible, Peter sneaking works due to his invencible spider sense allowing him to naturally know even where to shoot the weeb to jump around or where to sneak around.
