So, this is happening.
Trollhunters Video Game
That shit better not be full price, cause that looks like a low effort platformer.
Awesome Sauce.
Does Dreamworks have any good videogame based on their movies/shows?
Seems a bit late, honestly
>Bandai Namco
Shrek superslam
I never seen the show and yet I get a Saint Seiya vibe out of some of the armours (mostly purple chick and fat guy); I wonder if its intentional since Del Toro is a mexican turbo nerd
>Shrek and donkey at the lowest tier
I refuse to believe this
From what an Australian site leaked, it's $39.99.
I'd agree, but apparently this is taking place throughout all three shows, and Wizards is coming out this summer, so they probably didn't want to spoil that by releasing the game before that.
Yeah, didn't Del Toro said it was going to be one season? That's way too short.
Wow this looks REALLY bad. Loved the show but this looks BAD.
I normally abhor the thinking that the recipe to make a great game is to make it free roam, but man it could've been perfect in this. They already have the groundwork for Arcadia and other locations like the troll market, the forest, etc.
I normally like side scrollers too, but this doesn't seem to be doing anything interesting with the genre.
Shitty tie-in games are back!
Too bad this wasn't a WayForward pixel 2d platformer, would likely have been worth buying.
It is developed by WayForward, but yeah. They went with the cheapest version of the show's designs. The only promising part is the couch co-op, but it doesn't seem like there's an online component. Also, wish they had other playable characters like Toby.
>90% of the assets are done for you already
>still make a lazy platformer with stiff animations that could have been done in an afternoon
Do I get to kick trolls in the gronk-nuks
>Yeah, didn't Del Toro said it was going to be one season
Is that his conscious decision or the studio gave him only one season to make?
>3D
>it's a side-scroller
>Just switch out the sprites in the Unity tutorial platformer. Nobody will notice.
>Developed by the same niggers behind Shantae
>Game looks like a low-budget Unity game
What the fuck WayForward?
No idea, but I’m assuming it’ll be a long season of 26 episodes like s1 of Trollhunters.
Even good studios can phone it in sometimes. See: Platinum with the Korra and TMNT games.
WayForward is developing it, I don't believe they've ever made a bad game, I don't think they CAN make a bad game.
>Oh this doesn't look too ba
>2D sidescroller
Every fucking time
They really dropped the ball on Kung Fu Panda by not letting you chooses which character you could play through the game as, then screwed up further by not having a sequel that allowed you to do so. Just an adventure game for children on big cnsoles and Nds, and a shitty Smash clone (so, a shitty clone of kiddy shit) for ps3 and 3ds based on KFP3, when the series had gained enough characters to do an actual Street Fighter-style fighter thanks to Legends Of Awesomeness. In fact...ALL their games are some shit for preteens. You'd think big companies instead of shit-mills like Ubi would be like "Hey, this was a movie that raked in some dough, let's make a great game based on it, and we can hopefully be successful enough to do sequels, even if the property itself doesn't get a theatrical sequel!"
insignificant middle of the cartoon insert with no impact outside of itself.
useless.
Seems a little... late
Also
>3D
>Side-Scroller
And isn't the Villain that troll from the time they first me Aja and Krell before time shenanigans?
Looks like a quick cashgrab platformer oriented to lil children with access to their parents' credit card. Shame; a Trine or Lost Vikins styled Trollhunters videogame could be really dope
>I don't think they CAN make a bad game.
It is absofuckinglutely not developed by Wayforward, Wayforward is just supervising. It's developed by a licensed shovelware developer, you can see the other games they've made on their website.
