Why are Cartoons SJW bait nowadays?
Why are Cartoons SJW bait nowadays?
ohhhhhhhhh no a black guy and a gay guy IN A CARTOON?! AHHHHH I'M GOING INSANE HELP ME NIGGERMAN!
TDP is the least pandery show that is also good. Just say you hate gays
Yes
I don't hate gays or black people if they are portrayed realistically and fit into the setting.
What I hate is injecting modern issues into fantasy world, like black and white people living in the same society without any justification in lore, or fucking lesbian queens.
>Injecting modern issues into fantasy world
>Fantasy world
>Black people and white people living together with no issue
full retard
I mean, no reason is giving why both black and white people exist in the same society. Skin color is treated like a random mutation and not a distinct ethnic background
Long story short: Nepotism. It started with Adventure Time, where the staff only hired friends, mostly fellow CalArts alumni. Then they were struggling, so they hired Tumblr to liven things up I suppose. And then Tumblr hired more Tumblr. There's also the unfortunate overall zeitgeist of "entertainment" today to consider as well, which is also the result of gradual ideological nepotism that shifted into turbo 5 years back or so, not sure what the catalyst was for that. And no, this shit was in motion long before Goober Gate, that was just the first notable consumer backlash against the cult of woke. They dug too greedily and too deep.
Interesting. And I thought it was a deliberate marketing decision to pander to the LGBT viewer base
This pitch is a bit more realistic
>the land of kekistan is populated by wojaks
>it's under siege by the evil forces of dr goldstein and mister noseberg who inject soi into wojaks to turn them into soijaks, or hook them into the Network to turn them into NPC's
>only Pepe the Frog and his rad awoo crew can dab on the hordes and save the land. Shadilay!
I don't really get how this was explicitly SJW...?
I'd watch the hell out of that
Then it's a thing of worldbuilding they don't want to explain.
It doesn't seem a reason to dislike it
It's the exact opposite, you're the one applying your modern sensibilities to a fantasy universe. What makes you think that fantasy needs to have medieval values? It's by definition fantasy. I shouldn't have to explain this but you seem to be autistic.
>lesbian queens.
Who's gonna stop them? They are top of the food chain and can do whatever they want.
>It's fantasy, that's why it has to be historically accurate
???
They are made by social engineers who see cartoons as nothing more than a tool for propaganda and indoctrinating kids.
>Kingdom where nearly half of the background extras are black
>Main cast is still almost entirely white
>Racism is never brought up unless it's between humans and other species like Elves
>If racism didn't exist in the kingdom the races would have have mixed to the point the kingdom would be racially homogeneous, instead it's clearly the opposite
Conclusion: the kingdoms in the show are incredibly racist, but the show refuses to acknowledge it and pretends it isn't. Just like the writers themselves.
I didn’t mind how DP did their gays, they don’t make a big deal out of it. Like some gay dudes or lesbians show up, and that’s it, no one freaks out or goes on how brave and unique they are for it, they treat it just like as if they were straight people.
i wish i was a lesbian queen and could do whatever i want bros...
Cultural values are not random. Any feudal society can be reasoned to have certain similar values.
>Who's gonna stop them?
The people who keep them in power. The military and religious elites of their country.
What makes you think religious elites have power or that a fantasy society is a feudal society where nobles have a say?
The show makes subtle attempts to normalize homosexuals, blacks and disabled people. This is pretty problematic
>Any feudal society can be reasoned to have certain similar values.
Based on just the fact that they're feudal? No, that's not using reason, that's just assuming things that share one trait must therefore share other traits. If you want to talk about reasoning, you have to show how one leads to the other. Are you honestly claiming all feudal societies were equally homophobic?
Any work of fiction relies on preexisting knowledge of its audience to provide context. We are shown a society that is clearly modeled after medieval Europe, so the viewer has to assume the power dynamics are the same, unless shown otherwise
times changin
We see a kingdom of x with a castle and king, the setting has dragons and magic and shiet, and we must automatically assume a feudal system? Nah, most watchers probably think the monarchy is absolute.
homophobic in the modern sense, as in not allowing gay marriage. Of course, many feudal societies had no problem with raping little boys.
Don't lie OP this is a stealth Rayla thread isn't it?
God, I want to touch her horns...
The architecture, weapons and fashion is clearly based on medieval Europe.
>all humans are mass-kicked off half of a continent by the elves
>as a result it causes kingdoms to have a mix of different races and groups from all over
There user, happy?
Would you agree that her ending up with Callum felt rushed and came out of nowhere?
I would be ok with that if it was referenced in the show. Something like "the people of Obongo tribe used to be our enemies and now we live in peace. Maybe humans and elves can coexist as well"
And most watchers don't care about the workings of the government beyond that. Many people think that Britain was an absolute monarchy under George III...
Considering how the timespan of the show only takes place over a couple of weeks I'll say yes however they are teenagers so they're dumb and probably very horny so it doesn't not make sense to me.
Plus it's adorable as fuck so I can forgive it.
Who do you think is making them?
Your argument seems to boil down to
>this show is shit anyway
>might as well pander to the SJW crowd
