A Different Timeline

>Rick And Morty never gets this popular
>It has it's finale in the fourth season
>It pays off the Evil Morty storyline

Would you rather have had this or the 100 new episodes route the show is going?

yes

I'd rather have that a million times over what we're getting. Last episode was total shit.

They canonically has to go all the way to season 9 though

I mean they can just say they teleported to another timeline where it's season 9.

Too meta

I want the timeline where they didn't fire the writers from season 1 and 2 and replaced them with hack writers who just happened to be women.

The fuck, did they actually fire them?

I was a little disappointed it wasn't a total troll episode where they just have that alien guy talk about how messed up it was for 20 minutes, just to see everybody get mad.

I don't care if this show is ten times better than season 3. Fuck it.

>haha we gonna scrap off the evil morty storyline just for the lolz we are so meta
the absolute state of this shit show

They were probably had no plan for the story to begin with and were just writing it as it went along.

no, writer turnover is a constant in the industry, the user you replied to is just a retard

I think the first part of the episode was a meta troll for people who thought it'd be that type of episode. They even changed the OP to have the episode title so it'd seem like a very special episode about them being in the vat the whole time, like that Family Guy episode with the bank vault.

Ah, i mean it does feel like it turned into a more political show.

The bottle episode will come like a thief in the night.

I'd rather have lots of episodic episodes about fun sci-fi shit than a few episodes of cringe forced "plot".

You are probably one of those people who watch Children's cartoons for romance plots and think it should be the focus.

I'm fucking scared. Harmon can write really well bottle episodes but with the direction R&M is going i don't think it will be that good.

I don't really care, Pickle Rick was a fun episode desu.

Probably have one or two saved up just in case they need to meet a deadline or feel like being trolls.

what? i just came here to post "Is Rick and Morty good again?" cause of Vat of Acid episode.

the train was the bottle.

R&M Bottles are vignette episodes in a singular location, there's two kinds: stuff like total recall, and the interdimensional cable/morty mindblowers.

They aren't really valuable bottle episodes in concept because animation doesn't benefit exactly the same way, and they do such weird things. Often what's actually demanded are crazy new assets. It was probably easier to make most of the other season 2 episodes than it was to make total rickall.

Eh. The way it's going is fine.

If you were invested in Rick and Morty for the lore, you've got some pretty low standards for caring about a show. I've got like 15 other shows I can go to for lore and consistent storytelling, R&M can keep doing what it's good at, whatever that might be. I don't know what that IS, but it isn't storytelling.

I really dunno user, Ricklantis Mixup was one of the best episodes of any cartoon i've seen.

Wouldn't that mean he killed his original morty?

Fug, forgot image

Not really user, none of the mortys died, only their bodies died. Their consciousness was transferred into one morty at the end.

Wikipedia apparently counts Rixty Minutes as the bottle episode.

Doesn't that make him the Mortiest Morty, since he's the concentrated essence of easily over a hundred of the pervy little shit mini-Ricks?

Personally I just want a conclusion to the evil Morty shit. I don't care if he's our Rick's first Morty or whatever, just fucking end that plot line already.
That's about it for R&M and its mysteries/storytelling. Everything else is smeared in irony and called Shmoopy Gloopy Poopy or something.

>OP somehow gets popular popular
>gets out, makes friends who aren't pedro-tier
>It pays off and he gets laid as a senior
>Never wastes his adult life posting on a Mongolian puppetry forum about people enjoying cartoons too much, not enough, or not jn the proper context.

>>Rick And Morty never gets this popular
It's not popular anymore
>>It has it's finale in the fourth season
>>It pays off the Evil Morty storyline
Canonically the show ended after its first season
The rest is literally alternative timelines
>Would you rather have had this or the 100 new episodes route the show is going?
Yeah it will take them 10 years to crank out 10 more episodes so I don't care
