Currently no. None of the relationships introduced post-Dark Cybertron have worked in TF canon and that's including the reboot. TF needs to get a writer in there who's actually good and standardize how Transformers romance works, because right now they have the Marvel and DC problem of writers invalidating other writers work because they don't understand the rules of the setting. Lay the foundation, then build the story.
