I think Noelle put it best where there's certainly room for stories to be told, especially with a space adventure and however the fuck Prime's soul being sucked from Hordak actually works where you could bullshit him coming back as a bigger bad if you actually need conflict, but the story doesn't 'need' to continue.

Does it need a movie? No, not really.
But I would watch the hell out of one. Universe spanning empires don't just collapse peacefully. That's a huge power vacuum with the potential to generate a lot of conflict.
In terms of stuff the show left unresolved:
-Angela should stay locked between dimensions. Undoing that would cheapen the sacrifice and that moment in the show.
-Hordaak is no longer a threat with the Princesses now having full access to all of Etheria's magic. He'll probably end up under Entrapta's protection. They'll probably fuck off to space.
-The only thing left is Adora's true past and where she came from. Which would be very interesting to explore.

I would also like a movie where they save Angela, or at least give her some real closure, Micah deserves to be with her again even if it is momentarily

To answer OP's question, I don't think they should continue the series. Stuff unanswered is actually great to get cool fanfictions, or even an official comic. But I'm pretty sure producers would ask for many action and important plot if they made a movie/more seasons, which would potentially ruin everything.
It's rare enough that we get a fuarking good ending for a show, let's hope it wont be ruined.

It doesn’t need a continuation but it could totally support one.
The show’s strength was how well its characters were written, the plot was secondary. The characters are so well established by this point that you can put whatever combination of them in a scene and it practically writes itself.
Whether the continuation was just random SoL scenes or a space epic, it would probably work even after the main story has been resolved.
I want to see Angella’s face when she finds out the girl she sacrificed herself for and the girl who killed her fucked in her bed.
