Good news: a new Mega Man comic book series was announced
Bad news: it's based on the CGI show

What's the point? Didn't they can this series?

that's not so bad, it got pretty decent

GODDAMN MONKEY'S PAW!

That maybe true, but Archie's Megaman comic was gearing up to adapt Megaman 4. I wanted to see how they would tell that story and the ramifications of Cossack's actions (despite being force to do it because of his kidnapped daughter).

>Dr. Light gets kidnapped by Dr. Wily

Wasn't Wily in this just Aki's classmate and friend?

I guess it’s an AU where the only similarity is the design and Mega Man’s real name.

Maybe it's something that was planned for the show before it was canned.

>IT'S MEGA TIME

Why?
It's already dead and everybody has forgotten about it. This is literally just a waste of time and money and frankly I don't understand why Capcom is still going through with it.

Maybe BOOM thinks it can revive the show, like they've tried to do with Adventure Time.

I completely forgot this existed.

I guess. The show's writers are involved in it.

As long as we get subtle shit, we're good.

Probably still have some scripts left over to burn through and need to get them out somehow.

Archie's Mega Man wasted more time on shitty OCs and unneeded crossovers than actually telling any stories. It deserved to die.

I love megaman but it is really weird to me that this objectively irrelevant franchise continues to get adaptations like this. Who's buying this shit, honestly? There has been one megaman game made in the last like 10 years.

The problem you're ALWAYS going to run into with doing a straight adaption of megaman's plot is that it basically doesn't exist. It's really difficult to make what actually happens in a megaman game interesting in a purely narrative medium. This is a problem when adapting MOST videogames.

I forgot all about this show

Megamix did it pretty well.

i miss tempo is very rare for me to like oc's

I remember watching this show when it first came on. Lost interest half-way into its run. I think that the 90's cartoon was probably better in every way except for animation. Also, if the comic uses 2D art, it could actually be kind of cool. I guess that means the Archie comic will never come back.

They should just make a new Battle Network anime

Wonder if this is a reference to him dying in Gigamix

I thought the original ended teasing the evil Mega Man. This seems to be doing an entire new plot with evil Wily and Mega Man's identity crisis.

>No more Archie Mega Man omnibus
>No more Worlds Unite omnibus
what the fuck happened?

she better appear on it.

Whatever happened to that ARMS comic that Dark Horse were doing?

I hope so as well.

>if the comic uses 2D art
what? you think they'll go through all the trouble making the scenes in cgi just to make a screencap comic?

licensing issues. same deal why Marvel can't reprint Rom. spaceknight and any of his crossover appearances
