Why do they keep trying to make reboot Powerpuff Girls a thing? It was a objective failure that got moved to Boomerang to die

>YWN come out of Tweety's face
Why live

The bigger question is why Jetsons is there, nobody gives a fuck about it today.

Not like anybody gives a shit about Flintstones beyond GRAND DAD memes either.

Flintstones are more cereal mascots then anything else but people still know why they are. Jetsons are there mostly by association. I’d put a Cartoon Cartoon there like a Johnny Bravo or a Dexter

Flintstones at least lives through cereal and vitamins, as well as having the legacy of being the first animated sitcom and inspired shows like the Simpsons. Jetsons did jackshit and has been dead for 30 years now.

the original show was such a money printer i guess they're still holding onto the hope that if they shove the damn thing in people's faces enough they'll cave in and buy the merchandise

Objectively wrong
Look at it airing on Me tv in the states at a rather good time

I don't understand the reason for leading with Tweety, other than the shape of their head. Are they more popular than I realized? When I think Looney Tunes I think Bugs, Daffy, Fudd, even Foghorn Leghorn and Marvin the Martian. Not Tweety.

The PPG are still recognizable as the PPG, regardless of your feelings on the new series. To normies, they only see the PPG; they don't see panda twerking and No Me Gusta or the midget lumberjack.

The same goes for the Flintstones, the Jetsons, and Tweety. This is basically a billboard that says "Do you recognize these cartoon characters? If so, you can watch them on HBO Max!".

No joke, it's because Tweety is a boy that looks like a girl, they want to appeal to the transgender audience.

Maybe they have the original PPG there?

This, these are now the future designs for the PPG sadly, unless a new reboot happens, these are the ones that will pop up in advertisement and merchandise for the next couple of years.

Brand recognition. It’s probably the most instantly recognizable original cartoon cartoon. Also streaming means the original is probably up there too allowing them to offer more with a single piece advertisement. Thats likely why shaggy and scooby are bigger than all the other HB characters besides big yellow tweety who’s purpose is to catch your eye on the billboard.

The fact they chose Rosie makes me think they just wanted a character for the billboard that wasn't a human or animal.

Rosie is one of the best characters on the show.

They probably chose Tweety for his bright yellow color. For Billboards, It’s very attention grabbing and easier to recognize in the dimly lit night time compared to characters with a darker color scheme like Daffy.

This billboard just sums up the CN barely has any iconic characters, they had to use characters from Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera to fill up space since they don't have any recognizable faces with their own shows.

Speaking of Boomerang, what does HBO Max mean for the oft forgotten Boomerang streaming service. All the classic Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and Hanna-Barbara stuff is already available there.

Will the content just be shared by both services? Or will Boomerang be shut down so that HBO Max can have exclusivity?

they have plenty of recognizable faces, its just that they went with the HB to appeal to the 40 somethings that make up highway drivers

It's next in the HBCU

Original and 16 are confirmed for day one.
From what I heard, Boomerang, DCU, Crunchyroll, and VRV are all gonna get phased out and their content rolled into HBOMax.

Wow, this is really gonna be everything and the kitchen sink. They better hope it pays off.

They have less than Nick

What merchandise? It all bombed two years ago, didn't it?

Please fuck off and never reply to me tripfag, get laid for fucks sake.

user, we both know thats not gonna happen.

Maybe those other two, but CR is whole different beast, getting new content every quarter plus sinking time into their own originals they seem keen on keeping on their own site

It's one of the few niche streaming services that's able to survive on its own.

People know it as the cartoon that takes place in the future. I don't think anyone can name any other cartoons that were made by HB except the Flinstones and maybe Yogi Bear. It doesn't help that the most recent thing starring the majority of the HB characters was Harvey Birdman.

Nickelodeon has a separate problem where the majority of their recognizable faces are all from shows that aired over 20 years ago.

Not really user. There's the Loud House, and then there's... uh......

Actually you're right.

Foreign markets love it

Fairly Oddparents, Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron, Avatar.
