For future threads, I’m going to title ParkerVengers. Now that the team has been established, let’s see what they’re capable of. I’m not sure if this was mandated or requested, but this is turning point creatively (in a good way) as Parker has to simultaneously juggle two full teams with plots that are entirely unique.
What could have roadblocked a weaker writer by adding an entire additional lineup Parker turns into a defining feature as no other capeshit title during this period operated in the size or scope. What Bendis spread across two series his Avengers Bol. 4 and New Avengers Bol. 2, Parker achieves in a single title. And make no mistake, despite the change in title this is a to lol very much a Thunderbolts title. And without any more delay, let’s start with Dark Avengers #175
I'm glad to see this team didn't just fade into obscurity after Bendis butchered them in New Avengers Vol. 2. Now I wasn't expecting them to "win", but I didn't expect them to be completely invalidated in just a couple pages. It was lazy. Let's see if Parker can do better. Spoiler alert...he does.
So basically, Parker is trying to write around the Dark Avengers jobbing hard like a bunch of chumps by saying that it's Osborn's fault for being such an idiot.
Parker also did that with the first arc of his Rulk (which rules and is massively underappreciated)

I see it as, the DA team was down a couple members (both of whom were heavy hitters) and then surprise ambushed by Skaar and Cage's Avengers team in the span of a couple minutes. Not exactly a "fair" comparison. And as someone mentioned in the past thread, Cage's team is super stacked in terms of raw power. I'd argue that he could compete with Cap's team with push came to shove.

Not going to lie, bringinb in the got who spanked the team to be their new nanny is a massive slap in the face. Given that Ragnarok wasn't there to put up a fight, it's questionable just how effective Skaar would be against a unified team.
Ocean life is not to be trifled with. You are out of your element against some creatures that haven't had to evolve for potentially milions of years because they were good enough at what they did.
Assuming Skaar decides to bring out his Old Power he'd spank a knockoff Thor any day of the week. Real Thor would still knock his block off though.
