Death of Superman is at least decent and is for sure better than the disjointed mess that was Superman Doomsday, mostly because its split into two parts but Reign of the Supermen is just plain awful. Random shit happening for no reason, pointless characters stuffing the time, and then by the end it just fizzles out with a wet fart.

Red Son is the comic, but every single change they made ended up with the story being so much worse. A simple, smart and even somewhat hopeful story got changed so now things just happen for no reason, characters make zero sense, and the animation is stiff as a board. They really did the book a huge disservice on the level of Killing Joke.

All of the new gods will all inevitably become Black Racer's bitch eventually, even with Grant Morrison's attempt to beef up their importance, so it's not like they are untouchable.

It really was, I was hyped for Red Son to finally get the adaptation it deserves because it would've fit so well as a film. The narrative could easily be streamlined and all of the best parts on display like Under The Red Hood did, maybe even fixed some of the jonkiness of certain reveals like the envelope, but instead they decided Wonder Woman didn't have to make sense, Bizzaro didn't have to have a tragic yet powerful arc, Batman's reasoning didn't have to be based in logic, Lex Luthor didn't have to have any aspirations except Superman, and it wasn't actually building towards anything. They changed so much that its baffling, there was no reason to do it, it wouldn't have cost them extra time or animation for most of it.

It just plain isn't worth it, and I say that as someone who was going to bat for it.

I always liked how Flashpoint Paradox added in Aqualad and Tula from Young Justice and that was right when Young Justice came out so it was kind of funny.
