Did Ed Edd n Eddy ever turn bad Zig Forums?
I remember the school episodes being kinda whatever.

Not BAD, but season 5 was kind of a mixed bag. And sometimes they made Eddy a bit TOO much of a cunt and I WANTED to see him fail.
The last season was kinda meh but still not completely garbage, it went from being a fantastic show to being an average show.
Looks like it went to shitty-looking flash animation. And audiences of an idiocy-based cartoon tend to be young males...so they CAN mature out of it.
>Unironically posting eceleb opinions
Kys
no
What does this have to do with eceleb?
Wouldn't say it turned BAD, but the school season was the worst. Characters were flanderized.
>Ed became a braindead moron doing nothing but YELLING REALLY LOUDLY when he had some sense in the earlier seasons
>Edd became obsessed when cleanliness and also became too much of a moralfag to the point where he starts messing with the plot of episodes
>Eddy becomes an irredeemable asshole in S5 for no reason when in earlier seasons you could tell why he was angry
Not him but
>"What went wrong with "
is standard e-celeb clickbait.
I thought it made sense that they acted differently while in school.
Ed is in a constant state of fear and retreats further into his happy place, Edd is in a constant state of trying to appease the authority, and Eddy is in a constant state of rage from just being in school.
Not bad, critics these days have no sense of critical analysis. Shit exists on a toggle switch of Good/Like or Bad/Dislike.
What happened to E,E&E is it was becoming formulaic the longer it ran character dynamics, which is why they tried to alter the designs and setting away from the routine and ultimately wrap things up before it went the way of long running comedy shows.
The cast becoming flanderized didn't negatively impact the comedy or quality of the show, it just made it predictable or one-note. Shows that go further down than this are where long running goes from systematic to actively bad, like Arthur where in order to vehicle the lesson of the ep Arthur has to reset prior development or outright become a different person, an inexplicably huge asshole at times with none of the build up to justify it.
THAT is bad.
>The cast becoming flanderized
this never happen
No. The characters got flanderized but not mind numbingly so. They were still funny and likable. Some of my favorite episodes were from season 5. A Fist Full of Ed was objectively great.
Every season after 1 had 2 bad episodes but overall NO. Show was still good and watchable.
Bad? No.
Mediocre? Yes.
Sort of did.
The show even comments on it, Kevin starts with a cynical but tolerant view of the Eds as harmless losers, but gradually he becomes paranoid and hostile before they've done or said anything. He justifies it through the lens they've given enough reasons from earlier antics but even Nazz and Rolf comment on his weird witchhunt behavior making him look crazy.
The Kankers also went from troublemakers who pulled the rug under things to active chaos demons terrorizing without restraint.
I'd comment on Jonny and Plank going from a kid with an imaginary friend that others could get caught up with to actual twilight zone antics, but there's no point, it was always going to escalate.
The School seasons were SHIT
1.The Eds are less likable and were kinda flanderized (although not the worst flanderization). Ed became a too-dumb-to-live idiot, Edd became a constantly complaining goody two-shoes, and Eddy became a unlikable and violent loud mouth.
2.Jimmy is still a vengeful jerk for no reason.
3.Jonny 2x4 is still an annoying, loudmouth goofball and saboteur who hasn't functioned without Plank since Season 3.
4.Some bad episodes, such as "Smile for the Ed", "Cleanliness is Next to Edness", "Tinker Ed", "The Good, The Bad and The Ed", and "Look Before You Ed" (the last episode of the show produced).
5.Season 6 only had one episode (two if counting both segments). How disappointing is that?
6.These seasons had more gross-out humor than the first four seasons did.
7.The Kanker Sisters reached the high ungodly levels as Villain Sues in these seasons.
8.Some of the episodes had plot-holes, plot twists, and continuity errors, such as for example, in one of the episodes, "A Town Called Ed", its revealed that the Kankers' ancestor, Lord Kanker, beats Eddy's ancestor in a poker game over the land and founded Peach Creek and the Kanker sisters themselves own Peach Creek, despite that in their debut appearance episode "Nagged to Ed", its mentioned that they're not from Peach Creek and if they have a family member that founded Peach Creek and own the area, then how come nobody in Peach Creek are aware and know about that, especially that their home town is owned by a trio of mean, female bullies who stalk, sexually harassed (in the Eds' case), bully, and torment people on a regular daily basis?
9.The endings of some episodes can be predictable or just plain bad.
10.The fifth season doesn't focus on scams very often. Sure, the first four seasons had a few episodes where Eddy doesn't get the two Ed boys to scam the neighborhood kids, and at least most of them were good. But in the fifth season, it's somewhat done a lot.
If anything, the show got better as time went on. People saying that it got bad are nostalgia blind idiots.
>then how come nobody in Peach Creek are aware and know about that
Same way nobody knew about the Eddy part until he found the book.
>Cleanliness is Next to Edness
Explain.
The movie was the best part of the later seasons.
That episode were Double D becomes crazy because he can't shower, so he makes himself all dirty and nasty on purpose, even rolling on animal shit.
No, the last seasons were fine but you could tell the show was running out of steam, it is one of the few shows that ended at just the right time
Yeah, I know the episode.
And the rolling was just in trash from a trash can, the shit came before he went crazy.
It's a bad episode filled with gross out and makes Double D super OCD for no reason, it's awful.
It defintiely did. They pretty much dropped Ed being a less than intelligent comic book nerd and made him full retard.
>ectoplasm
Bad or not, we can all agree that Ed Edd n Eddy is hands down the best of the Cartoon Cartoons, right?
Why couldn’t he have just used his sink to clean himself?
meh
