That really depends on the type of discussion to be had. Something like Wonder Woman and Superman seems like the most basic white girl kind of ship out there. But if we look at it deeper, and considering their history, the power really ends up getting to Diana's head. It never ends well because being with someone so powerful brings out the mythic god side of Diana, despite Clark's better upbringing. And in one continuity, Injustice, she's actively the Lady Macbeth pushing him into further extremism. Character interaction and exploring a deeper emotional connection between characters can get pretty deep if that's a discussion someone wants to have. Otherwise, yes. It's pretty shallow shitposting.

It's because they were toying with Superman's image at the time. It doesn't have to make any sense because there's actually little thought put into it to begin with, the buildup is usually shit or non existent, so it comes off as cringe. Like Waid in KC thought Wonder Woman was just retarded idea to begin with more or less, so he made her a walking womb at the end because she's a woman. And in recent years we have Injustice and the New 52 where Diana is just dreadful at times.
