It's pretty weird that the diversity hires almost all took the name of the originals (Except ReeRee). You'd think that after almost a half-decade, they'd have identities of their own. But Miles is still going by 'Spiderman', and 'Ms. Marvel' was the name Carol previously used! Even Captain Marvel was specifically the title of Mar-Vell, who first wore the mantle.
It's actually extremely rare in comics for someone taking up the legacy to have the name remained unchanged. Is it just me, or were they - like - trying to erase the originals? So that every time someone ran a Google search or something, you'd only get the ethnics filling the roles?

Personally the only diversity hire I liked was Robbie Reyes because it actually expanded on the concept of Ghost Riders instead of just using them as props
