he does. I don't remember where it comes from but I'm pretty sure he has said that if he ever finishes his war on crime he still has one bullet left for himself

Always knew the Punisher was a coward.

Deadpool.

is that cowardly?

I don't think anyone believes he'll ever stop, him included. It's a lie he tells himself to feel better.

Yeah, because it's obviously an excuse. His war will never stop. He will always keep killing. No way he'll kill all evil in his life as one mortal man with no powers. Saying he'll kill himself when it's all over means basically nothing because it'll never feasibly be over for him, so it's just an excuse for him to keep killing. Like he's not a coward in dangerous combat situations or even torture, but he's a coward for not realizing who or what he really is even though he claims he does with stuff like this.

Who'd win in a fight, The Punisher, The Joker or The IRS?

I don't think he is a coward or it's an excuse. That might be true for other people but not Frank. I'm sure he means that. Because this is how consistent he is and how badass he is. There are no half-measures for Punisher. It's all or nothing. I genuinely think he is one of the best and well written Marvel characters.

Also, consider the following. End of the war may mean Frank can't fight anymore, due to old age for example. I bet Frank would an hero if he couldn't fight anymore.

You're almost as stupid as Frank. He may have conviction and belief in what he says despite knowing that day will never come, but that doesn't change that he's concocted a very convenient form of "atonement" for himself that doesn't actually put a stop to the mountain of bodies or actually punish the wicked. He'll press the "Off" button when his life's work is done, as of that's even a hard choice, as if people don't literally choose this all the time. No accountability, no suffering, just "I will end my life when I'm done with it."

He's a fucking coward who isn't actually willing to pay for his crimes.

Except Frank of all people knows very well that his war will never be won. No matter how you look at it, that line makes him look like either a coward or a retard. If it's a lie he tells himself, then he's a coward trying to run away from responsibility by setting rules he'll never have to follow. And if he actually believes hat he's saying, he's completely retarded. Which I don't believe he is. I think he knows exactly what he's doing but is just afraid to face the facts.

Frank has always been a coward deep down, running away from his problems by drowning himself in violence the way real-world cowards drown themselves in drugs or alcohol. He's a fearless fighter for sure, but he's a crybaby when it comes to facing reality. His entire war is just an excuse to keep himself from having to face the death of his family and putting a gun in his mouth, and that line is just an obvious extension of that same cowardice.

The IRS can destroy God and all of creation. Punisher is fucked.

Doubt it, not even Joker is crazy enough to take on the IRS. No one is safe from a sledgehammer labelled “tax evasion” being slammed right into their face.

But that's the Frank's mindset, isn't it? In his book the only proper punishment is death. He judged himself aready and found himself guilty, sentenced himself to death and is just delaying the execution.

Daredevil, usually

Punisher doesn't believe in penitence. He doesn't really even believe in revenge.

He believes in punishment. And there's only one degree of punishment that he cares about executing. That goes for everyone else as much as it does for him.

What makes Punisher a coward is that he he's content with going after little fish. He intentionally picks soft targets in order to prolong his "war". Because every time he tries to step outside of his weight class, he gets his ass handed to him. Granted, there are meta reasons why this is the case, but that doesn't change the fact that it makes him look bad just like how Batman looks bad for not finding anything resembling a proper solution for the Joker

>The Punisher gets Capone'd

I'd read it.

That's cowardice. Gussy it up any way you want, he's sidestepping his morals because he doesn't wanna die yet.

But the Joker makes a lot of money. He's a mob boss. Frank isn't exactly swimming in money, probably not even enough to tax.

The other user suggested that it might be the opposite. The only thing that keeps Frank out of eatig a bullet is his war. That might be true. It's either war or achieving peace and joining his family in death.

Usually when he takes out drug operations, he destroys the drugs but takes the money. That's the explanation for his always impressive arsenal.

How does the Punisher even owe any taxes? He doesn't have any income ot legitimate assets, and it's not like he skips on paying sales tax.

If you want to get the Punisher on technicalities, it'd probably be something like illegal possession of firearms, but that's like top 5 crimes Americans don't get prosecuted for

>Punisher doesn't believe in penitence
well, he certainly doesn't believe in penance stare

Uh... Cap?
