>The news at the time was that they were ordering pencils down & cutting their output by 1/3rd, which when multi-shipping books were factored in amounted to around 15-20% of their total line. The updated schedule includes multiple double-shipping titles, though, and as already noted reflects a much larger output reduction than previously revealed.

> the 74 previously-solicited minis/one-shots that haven’t yet shown up again:
(a list is posted)

>Now let’s look at the 41 ongoing series single issues, originally scheduled for April and May 2020, that haven’t yet been rescheduled:
(another list)

maybe, just maybe, marvel doesn't need over 80 new issues published every month.
Also they cancelled to variant cover lines that were already being produced (Living Vampire and Sneakers)

Well, this is someone's kink

Hello, Storyteller.

I think I may have figured out a reason for robots to have breasts. See, I figure a robotic species would consume food as a fuel source, and such, a small percentage of every meal is processed and redirected to the secondary fuel storage tanks on the chest!

... I have no idea why I have been waiting all day to explain that.

>marvel doesn't need over 80 new issues published every month.
They don't. I don't even know what they are thinking with half the shit they put out. They had a whole mini-event type thing with random books that was about an arkham asylum copy and written by Tieri. Like, why are you even pushing out this crap. I

>maybe, just maybe, marvel doesn't need over 80 new issues published every month.
Are you implying that a company should better manage their resources? Now you're just being unreasonable.

that series is now digital-only too.
So fuck those who spent the money on 3/5ths of a miniseries instead of just getting the trade.
Also rip to the people who were buying singles of Terrifics and Supergirl too

>Also rip to the people who were buying singles of Terrifics and Supergirl too
Digital only too? Dang.

SO effective immediately storytime's gonna be on a "I'll make sure at the end of each to tag the next day" sort of thing, thanks to my boss.

I know other people don't like this plot but I personally do

And why the Autobot symbol doesn't look like Rung!

those are the two DC titles that have been announced to switch to digital only.
Frankly, Terriffics has been screwed for a while.
27 issues are out, and the THIRD trade is only coming out in two weeks. But also

01/2020: Terrifics #23 -- 12,412 (- 32.5%)
01/2020: Terrifics #24 -- 11,492 (- 7.4%)
02/2020: Terrifics #25 -- 11,504 (+ 0.1%)
03/2020: Terrifics #26 -- 9,931 (- 13.7%)

Sales are low as it is, so that's why it's digital only.
Supergirl's around 17K, and was planned to end soon before COVID happened.

I love this

Take THAT Hasbro mandate for a 13 Primes

Is that a fucking kiwi?

>Megatronus
Fuckin...

>SO effective immediately storytime's gonna be on a "I'll make sure at the end of each to tag the next day" sort of thing, thanks to my boss.
It is what it is.

> Onyx was actually a decent cybertronian who wanted just to help others
> and then was brutally murdered by an asshole from the future

being onyx was suffering.

It would be incredible if all this was used as an opportunity to re-examine the business model and take a gamble on major changes that could save the industry, but instead they're gonna just end up being even more careful, cancelling even more series that have more niche appeal, more Batman and Spider-Man and #1's and events and variants everywhere, just out of desperation to cling onto the market they have

See this could actually have been a GOOD thing, if they price it lower as a digital only title it has the opportunity to reach an audience it has no chance of reaching on the racks.

That's the problem with all these books that don't appeal to typical comic buyers, since they're not buying them DC doesn't push them or advertise them and they get no word of mouth, so people who WOULD like Terrifics don't even know it exists

>people who WOULD like Terrifics don't even know it exists

And then if they get lucky there's a trade or two, and then they go "But this is good why did it end?"

Oh honey.

>more Batman and Spider-Man and #1's and events and variants everywhere, just out of desperation to cling onto the market they have
Yep. Corps don't understand what diminishing returns are.

>Yep. Corps don't understand what diminishing returns are.
They do, it's just that quarterly numbers are more important than what the numbers look like a year, two years, five years, ten years from now.
If your numbers aren't higher than last quarter, you don't get your bonus, and if they're lower, you might not have a job at all, so only the shortest of short term returns are what matter, which means minimizing risk and redoing what's proven to work.

Did Rung help

I have no idea if this book even knows that Rung exists

Attached: 081.jpg (1987x3056, 1.25M)

>Why... is Cybertron locked in this cycle?
Because Hasbro's got toys to sell.

So Shockwave is ultimately responsible for the coolest Prime getting fridged. Well, fuck him then, the prick.

Attached: 082.jpg (1987x3056, 954.94K)

No it's for sure that they all talked to make sure nobody used a character that the other wanted to use

Unless Roberts didn't mention the Rung thing, but the Autobot symbol not being Rungs face but being called Primus' face was confirmed to be a sign something was wrong so I bet he did know

Hi boss.
Feeling lightheaded sucks.

Bullshit villain reveals? You know it!

d'awwwww

>written by Tieri.
Why would you ever do this?!

As I've already said, I hate that Solus gets backstory killed. It's such a waste of a potentially cool character.
