Korra was fucked by production and losing the better writers from ATLA like Ehasz.

it wasn't a fluke, it's just that the gold was in the lead writer, Aaron Ehasz. If you watch The Dragon Prince it has so much of that good Avatar shit in it.

Hundred bucks the next Avatar will be a gay Earthbender.
They have to top last minute bi Korra and people are still not okay with trannies (gay marriage is no longer something the right really goes after in comparsion to bathroom shit).

finished season 1 haven't seen any bad shit. if you get used to the 3d animation it starts to feel pretty natural. it makes sense considering how many horses there are in the show, and those are extremely expensive to animate in 2d (you can't cheat them out of frames easily because they're essentially human sized and they have very complicated movements)

Everything has bad shit in it now, at least TDP just sticks it in there and doesn't put flashing neon signs around it saying "Look how good and socially aware we are!" It just happens so you can roll your eyes at it and move on with the story 5 seconds later.

Season 1 had a black king which was written into tensions with a step son who didn't look like him, it also had a deaf woman who was basically used for laughs similar to Toph, but it's harder to work that into episodes than blind jokes are so she rode out of the show for a while.

They could make a new show, I think the problem is that since Avatar was a (the last one) kind of show anything new isn't gonna really match up. Either you keep going and progress the story with more and more power creep or you do a prequel since there are 1000 previous avatars.

Problem with a prequel is we know eventually everything works out, so you don't really have the suspense of a world shattering event.

Unless they write something like a villain shows up that was so strong it took something like 3 avatars to take them down and they were so evil they were wiped from history to prevent others from trying to resurrect them.

In fact you could have the opening be those avatar spirits dying in Korra, being thankful that there is now absolutely no way anyone could ever gain knowledge of that event.
