this comic looks cool i wish i had a fucking clue what it was about

Is it ever established just how "alive" Uaid is? Is he like Timofey, in that he's got a mind made from memories in the Khert?

Yep, he's got his own personality. I think he's like a baby though. Not very smart or complicated.

>Is he like Timofey, in that he's got a mind made from memories in the Khert?
Yeah, Vienne programmed him to be a Good Boy.

Yes, but not as advanced as Timmy. He's the most detailed artificial personality, Uaid is significantly more simple

Imagine the smell

then read it. it's not THAT long. We can help fill in additional questions

What smell? Uaid smells like good, clean mud.

Man Quigley looks like such a faggot. I want to fuck him.

I like his chair bouncing and he's not even perturbed at all. I want to fuck him too.

Ah, getting petulant when people seem surprised you can do things. I feel you, Quigs. I feel you.

Now it just occurred to me to wonder
Where are the memories Vienne fished out actually stored. Is there a specific spot of First Earth on Uaid's body or a separate pymaric buried someplace?

Interesting question. Did he lose some of himself when he got his eye poked out?

He's basically a basic robot made partly out of a dead body that doesn't decay.

Precious cinnamon roll
Shitty deadbeat father with too many belts on his boots

I kinda lost interest in the long flashback that could only end in tragedy. Are we back in the present again?

Lose yourself again, weak willed SIMPERING WORM

Also yes

cute feet

I kind of wonder if Quigley isn't going to die eventually. He's such a shit I can't help but wonder if he won't get his comeuppance.

A Psudo-Lich who hates his life gets blackmailed by the local theives guild into an escort mission for the leader's mutant brat. Lots of magic, friendship, and the occasional horrific gore because the Author is a bonified guro enthusiast. Has a a ridiculously good update schedule for comic of this quality, and the author occasionally pops over here. Now go read the fucking thing. There's an occasional titty if that helps.

Thank god best boy is better.

What the hell's that weird arm, though? Is that part of the apparatus what fixed Uaid or is it some unrelated project? If it's the former why's it so... biological-looking?

They were probably smart enough to put it in the least likely part of him to take damage, somewhere in his torso like Al from full metal alchemist.

I've been thinking that as well. Not all of the main cast will stay till the next book, and Quigs is the most likely candidate. He'll probably die at the end of this book and Matty will stay at the shrine or be sent to Iori and Rahm
Although he could die, he's too nice and innocent to stay alive

It's biological looking because in this world if you want to make a robot arm you grab some memories of an arm's motions and bingo bango you have a robot arm that can move like a real one, it has to look biological because the memories expect to find a set of muscles and tendons like the ones they used to have.

Or as partially in Uaid's case, and maybe in this one too, you just grab the arm of a long-dead but undecaying creature and fill it with arm memories.

I don't think neing nice and innocent is enough to save you from death necessarilly.

It clmes down to who's death adds more narrative value. A dead Matt is inspiration to Jivi and more trauma for Quigley and Duane, but then what does a dead Quigley do? Aside from maybe set Matt down a dark path in tne future as well,or cause Duane some distress since they've been getting friendlier.

I'm still bothered by the fact that the soldiers use mostly mundane medieval weapons when they could have some cool stuff, like pymaric swords that take away people's solidity aspect

I think this has been addressed by First Materials working to cancel out pymary. Sure, you could make an awesome flame sword and go psudo-lightsabering around, but as soon as someone blocks your blade with a First Steel sword then all you have is a worthless hilt.

why not just have a pymaric weapon that also doubles as a decent mundane weapon then?

It's about the author's necrophilia.

the way quigley is being bounced around nonchalantly fucking kills me

we haven't seen duane's asshole yet so you can't say that

Good summary.
2 issues, tho; it doesn't read to me like Cope is a guro enthusiast - rather the world she's writing is Fucked Up, and she's not afraid to the extent that she shies away from making that abundantly clear. Shit is fucked, yo.
And other thing, trivial really, but it's 'bonafide'. Should you have reason to extend lexicon down that path again.

>it doesn't read to me like Cope is a guro enthusiast
fair enough but she is though
