This. Remember when Lobdell re-introduced Artemis as resembling the YJ version, only to kill her off? Same deal with the Beware-inspired Magpie. Even though they sneaked in Kaldur before YJ premiered, he's a very different character with few similarities.

At leas the Beware the Batman Magpie stuck around the DCU for a while. She even had a fun small role in Williamson's Flash. Her dying is Tom Taylor's fault. Artemis died almost immediately after being introduced though. Come to think of it, when was the last time a character being ported over from an adaptation was successful?

DC making Razer canon would be cool. Actually I miss the Red Lanterns in general. Unpopular opinion; this was the better Bleez design

I could see Magpie being retconned back to life. The Suicide Squad book is getting cancelled from what I hear, it was trash, and Magpie's "death" was off panel anyway.

I honestly wonder what goes through their minds when they do that. Didn't that whole "Batman is dead!" arc happen just as The Dark Knight hit theatres?
