The final batch of WonderCon@Home panels includes another turn at the remote mic for IDW Publishing:

You asked the questions, and IDW’s Chris Ryall (IDW’s president, publisher, and chief creative officer) and John Barber (IDW’s editor-in-chief) are here to give you the answers! The president/publisher/CCO and editor-in-chief of IDW Publishing (respectively) sit down for a Q&A, fielding questions submitted by fans on social media! From Locke & Key to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, from Sonic the Hedgehog to Usagi Yojimbo, there’s nowhere better to get a behind-the-scenes look at these IDW projects and many, many more!

And yes, that many more includes discussion of the UK reprint program, the next crossover and Transformers vs. The Terminator crossovers and a new Beast Wars series.

Another one?
I've not really enjoyed any time IDW touches Beast Wars stuff.
It's often Beast Machines levels of "Did you even watch the damn show?".

IDW is Vaporware until you hold the comic in your hands.

Best IDW hardcovers?

We get new BW comics because next year it 25th anniversary of BW and we get new toys for it.

I hope they go bankrupt.

Second. No need of the mentally ill propaganda nor their ugly designs, specially for fembots.

I still can't believe IDW actually took him back. What a shitshow this company is

Are they gonna finish the Transformers UK Hardcovers?

They've only touched it twice: the time they did an extended universe type story based on non-show characters, and the time where they included characters in a completely different universe. The former was great and didn"t have what you describe at all, and the later could do whatever it damn wanted with the characters, because it was, again, a completely different universe.

The last ones they made were poor. But I'd take some more poorly made BW comics than nothing.

That being said, I'd be over the moon if they made a continuation to the show, ignoring Beast Machines, and showing us Megatron put on trial and the Tri-Predicous council doing a bunch of shenanigans.

Why? Or are you one of the crazies who kept telling lies about Sitterson?

I wonder what it will entail. A return to The Gathering universe? Or just new "episodes" of the tv series, like the Animated comics? This could be a great way to cover and canonize stuff like Dark Glass, or the origin of the Transmetal Driver.

The sourcebooks were definitely not the best, but how were the actual comics bad?

Not into those apes and such but it seems to be very popular in America so it will probably make some money. I wonder if it's canon or some stand-alone series like the crossovers of idw2 so far.

IDW2 hasn't had any crossovers. What are you talking about?

Misinformed, naive and seething. 3 years have passed and you keep playing the same song.

How do you call stuff like Terminator/TF, Ghostbusters/TF and all the shit idw did before? Genuine question, I am not much into US/UK comic logic.

Those crossovers are unrelated to the current TF continuity.

"IDW2" is the fan term for IDW's new main G1 comic continuity that started in 2019, after their previous 2005-2018 main G1 continuity ended.

nice to see Didio get on his feet so quickly. He saved that franchise before, so now he can do it again

At what point is DiDio mentioned?

They are losing money, FACT:
bleedingcool.com/comics/now-idw-lets-go-of-employees-permanently/

THAT IS FACT

bump

They are losing noney for years now and somehow they still exist. I sense huge tax write-offs. If you want an example of what I mean, google how no studio in Hollywood has officially earned any money in 50 years.

Licensing deals, there is an ex employee of IDW that exposed that, also they are owned by Viacom.

I care more about that UK reprint line.

Keep doing Classic UK, dammit.

Can you expalin?

Furman is your enemy.

I haven't listened, but the article mentions
"discussion of the UK reprint program". Which hopefully means they'll uncancel the Transformers Classics UK series. It was really good.
