God DAMN this shit is fucking kino. These make me very happy. I wonder how many other modern cartoons have guides on this level for their main protag.

It's drawn incredibly well and written great, my only gripe is how they ended up using time/money saving vector puppetry for the inbetweens instead of hand drawing them when they touted this as an authentic tribute to the original shorts, when it's really just a high quality TV series like the Legend of the Three Caballeros, which had a similar animation style. But it really is closer to the originals than any other modern iteration, so I can't really criticize it that harshly, I just wish they were given a higher budget and more time for full animation, and then these would really be masterpieces.

I want to and he was a pompous psudo-intellectual but he did make good cartoons. I cannot fairly put him down when he was pretty great. He's not as great as some of his contemporaries but he deserves the praise he gets.

If the Daffy you like is funny and not stale, we would be seeing him in these new shorts. They went with the better Daffy (and Roger Rabbit) because they could get more out of him instead of being the same old foil for Bugs for the past 60 years. Who the fuck needs to see that version of him for that long. The jokes get old.
