They like talking about comics and cartoons too. And in the fairly politicized situation a lot of television production is currently, posting anonymously is probably very freeing.
Absolutely. They just don't make themselves known.
Who do you think keeps making porn threads.
I'm not asking for identity reveals. I'm just wondering what useful things they share from time to time, if they do at all.
The only one I remember is Joshua Schubart having an AMA on Zig Forums and Zig Forums. Both threads got pruned.
Why'd they get pruned?
people who make cartoons tend to like cartoons
seeing rebecca sugar jokingly admit that she was one of the infamously obnoxious edgefic namefags by name when asked if she browsed Zig Forums was kinda hype, early on in the show's run
I remember some Gravity Falls and SU crew posted some production material before their corresponding episodes aired. Motorcity crew interacted with Zig Forums for a minute too IIRC, there's a bottle of motor oil that's just labeled "Zig Forums" in one of the episodes. There's more but those are just some off the top of my head
I remember this was one of the things they uploaded. Was fun times youtu.be
You'd think they'd tolerate the board in its current state?
I've been a Zig Forums user since like 2006 when I was underage b& and now I help make cartoons and lurk all the threads of the shows I work on.
also, the best and most honest discussion takes place here. Twitter and tumblr a shit
An artist for spongebob posted here once to.
If you are not bullshitting. Have you ever rage quit a thread because Zig Forums hated something you thought was fucking awesome.
Jannies are faggots as per usual. It's most likely that the threads got reported for advertising since they were about the "The Tick" show on Amazon.
i'll be honest. cartoon twitter is a mistake
Donny cates comes here and shills himself and storytimes his own shit to get honest feedback and also mines /co for ideas.
Was the Tick 2016 any good?
Also, my wife is making a show and I'm going to be here to relentlessly shill when it comes out.
Not really, everybody has shit opinions. The only thing that gets me is seeing threads that praise people that are jerks irl.
Who are the biggest jerks if you don't mind me asking?
they probably wouldn't care lol, they're professionals. anonymously popping their head in internet cartoon discussion forums is just a fun and nostalgic thing for them to do i'd imagine
Zig Forums mostly only truly shits on things that absolutely deserve to be shat upon. But no one else will ever say an unkind word because social reasons most of the time.
Everything else is just the same old random user saying it sucks, which is expected in every thread.
Cartoon twitter only has two things.
>People complaining about some arbitrary aspect of a cartoon that no one cares about
>Ass kissing circlejerk of people praising anything and everything because they want to be noticed or land a job.
Cartoon Twitter defending ThunderCats Roar was so fucking stupid. And it's not like they're shilling for jobs. They actually like it.
I have seen enough people come to Zig Forums to bitch and moan about literal whos that maybe have a medium story level job on a show that is not even out yet. Now that has to be done by people working directly along side them.
I've only seen the pilot and some clips but that show looks kinda fun, especially the animation. The only thing that bugs me personally is that the base character designs are super "of the era"
Can't say, but I did hear a lot of good things about it here back when it was airing
I really can't say for my own protection lol
This
Also this. "imagine not having taste and not liking this masterpiece" *clip of a very average cartoon*
>can't say for protection
Yeah, figured as much. Do studios watch over your internet history?
I used to work in the warner bros DC Burbank office. It was shit. AMA
Based on what I hear, WB isn't particularly great to work for.
I think Dan Slott might still post here.
Hey Dan are you still here? I just wanted to say I really liked your Batman Adventures stories.
The Houghtons who created Big City Greens had a totally out-in-the-open Q&A in a Harvey Beaks thread back when they worked on that show.
Also Lauren Faust openly talked about coming here because of it having the only honest criticism on the Nick Animation Podcast
I'm not as worried about studios as I am about fans of the show. I posted a vague thing about a spinoff I had pitched for Tangled the Series (which is NOT CANON) and somebody screencapped and posted on discord, the discord people posted it on tumblr and made it into something completely different, because if it's posted on Zig Forums it MUST be sinister and illegal leaks. Then one of my friends who still worked over there for in trouble for it.
And then there was that time I defended one of my friends because she drew a picture of an adult(?) Frog Character carrying a teenage girl character in a completely non-sexual way, and the teen Twitter cartoon fans were calling her a pedo for it, and therefore I'm a "pedophile apologist" and they tried to contact all of our studios to get us fired.
I'd just started working at a new studio and was scared someone I didn't know was gonna get an email saying I had CP or something (someone had posted a screencap of my studio's contact info), so I got ahead of it and talked to the HR guy to explainin the situation ahead of time which was fucking embarrassing.
It was shit. A corporate kiss ass culture full of politicking backstabbing hipsters.
>only honest criticism of the Nick Animation Podcast
Whatever happened to that podcast? I figured the creators and VAs seemed a bit too happy being on there.
Do you think Space Jam 2 will be shit?
