1) It's her choice to be a crimefighter. If Batman wasn't working with her, she'd just go be Batgirl on her own. If anything Batman is protecting her by allowing her to work with him.
2) You have absolutely no say on who they decide to love. It's their bodies, their choices, you are an outsider in their relationship so mind your own business. Love is a feeling you can't control.
3) Dick and Barbara had broken up. She's an adult woman free to date whomever she wants and so is Bruce. Other people have no right to dictate their choices.

Though I'll say this, IN THE SHOW, Barbara made it sound like something that was sort of nice before she left him because she got tired of capes. Bruce later looks back on it fondly as he reminisces. It didn't sound that bad. Kind of how he dated Lois and she wanted different things, so you know, whatever. I take the DCAU canon as it was in the show. Anything else they tried to tie in after the fact, they can go fuck themselves. Maybe that's why I'm not as bothered by it.
