What ruined Nickelodeon?

You. Why have you done this user? We trusted you.

>Planet Sheen
>Marvin Marvin
>Nick Studio 10
>NickMom
that's all things that ruined Nickelodeon.

Spongebob
If your show doesn't get instantiations Spongebob ratings it is canned. All shows are made to be "the next Spongebob"

What a retarded logic, why won't they let shows grow naturally?

>executives searching for the new spongebob
>cancelling everything not having spongebob ratings between 2005-2015
>it's also part Zig Forums, so Zig Forums-material doesn't have full focus
>the behavior of the execs discourages passionate creators to pitch their shows to Nick and go to CN or Disney
>not utilizing shows or stuff at their full potential (Oh Yeah! Cartoons and Random! Cartoons)

You don't even need to say more.

Same thing that fucks up every channel, executive mismanagement. Top-down management is a mistake.

Looking back on the 2010s, it really wasn't a great decade for Nicktoons. They had like 3 good cartoons and only 2 of them were unique, not to mention that they had some of the worst cartoons of that era.Compare that to their lineup from the 90s and 2000s, it's pretty sad. Here's hoping for better, fresh stuff in the 2020s

If this is true:

>cancelling everything not having Spongebob ratings between 2005-2015
You know it's sad when Uncle Grandpa of all things have more episodes than every Nicktoon from that era. Even today the only one that surpassed it is Loud House.

They killed Glitch Techs

Korra

Reminder that Nick almost screwed over every show that came out from them and they are pretty retarded:
>fired John K. because they didn't like the crude humor in Ren and Stimpy anymore
>lose Doug to Disney because they didn't want to give it a 5th season
>fuck up negotiations with Bartlett, which results in him leaving in 2000, while also putting the Jungle Movie in developmental hell; air Hey Arnold's final season over a span of 4 years
>screwing Schauer continously over with dumb restrictions; not airing the final episode of Angry Beavers, because the Beavers blatantly tell that this is the final episode and they're getting cancelled
>airing the final season of CatDog over a span of 4 years
>allowing CN to take Ed, Edd n Eddy
>not allowing Hillenburg to end the series after the movie (which is understandable, SB is a fucking cash cow!) and not listening to his wish to NOT have a spin-off
>airing the final season of As Told By Ginger over a span of 14 fucking years, over 3 fucking channels, with two episodes not even airing in the US, including the fucking finale
>renew Invader Zim for a second season, immediately cancel it 4 months after announcing it, resulting in S2 having only 7 episodes, which only 1 aired on Nick in 2002, while the rest premiered on NickToons in 2006
>cancelling MLAATR, ChalkZone, FOP, Catscratch, The X's, El Tigre, Barnyard, Mighty B over not being up to SpongeBob
>The Making Fiends Disaster
>Choosing Fanboy & Chum Chum over Adventure Time, ultimately allowing CN to steal it from under their nose (reminds me of another show of CN Nick had the chance to get, back in '96)
And that's just the 90s and 2000s!

Attached: ....png (640x480, 375.49K)

>Adventure Time ended up having dykes and Finn getting cucked
>Fanboy & Chum Chum didn't have any SJW/Tumblr shit and was just 2 best friends having fun and drinking slurpees
Seems like Nick won at the end

you know something's wrong when Braceface has more half hours than 95% of Nicktoons

John K took a long time to complete episodes and treated his workers like shit, firing him was a good thing.

And it isn't better in the 2010s:
>sporadically sending more and more shows straight to NickToons after premiering (TUFF Puppy, Breadwinners, Robot and Monster, Pig Goat Banana Crickets, Harvey Beaks, Bunsen is a Beast, Welcome to the Wayne) and then cancelling them after one or two seasons for not having SB ratings
>not telling Greenblatt Harvey Beaks will go to Nicktoons and is (unofficially) cancelled before he read a tweet about it
>delaying Pinky Malinky and Glitch Techs for 3-4 years, then deciding to dump them on Netflix
Truly a horrible shitshow

>What ruined Nickelodeon?
Themselves, lol.

>Choosing Fanboy & Chum Chum over Adventure Time, ultimately allowing CN to steal it from under their nose (reminds me of another show of CN Nick had the chance to get, back in '96)
This is the only one I can excuse because the pitch for Adventure Time was a fucking mess, while FB+CC's was extremely professional. Any executive would have made that decision, CN only picked up AT because of Penn's previous experience with Flapjack.

half of a half hour of Season 2 of Invader Zim aired on Nicktoons in 2002 actually

come to think of it Braceface would fit great on Nickelodeon given that Alicia Silverstone was on Clueless (a Paramount movie) and Viacom and Paramount have been together often

>current running originals
>a cash cow that has run since the late 90s and mid 2000s and is too valuable for Viacom to allow it get cancelled
>the first original (non-already-existing IP) show in 15 years of Nick history to be greenlit for a 4th season and the first show in 15 years to withstand the ratings test
>the second animated series from a famous IP Nick bought in the 2010s
>the spin-off of the only show that withstood the test of ratings
>a new show that will get a second season that will probably go straight to NickToons

Attached: stop.png (1000x1504, 1.13M)

>Tak and the Power of Juju was going to air in 2003 but got delayed resulting in it's video games coming first

So, we can agree that:
>Cancerous standards of executives are killing Nickelodeon
>Toxic nepotism practices are killing Cartoon Network

The Tyler Perry is working for Nick now wow

>not picking up Constant Payne, and turning it into a full-fledged show

Money money money money

>having OYC!, with a larger pool of potential cartoons than WAC, having over 8 time the shorts WAC had
>only three get their own show on Nick
>meanwhile CN gets 5 shows greenlit

Spongebob.
Anything that's not another hit like Spongebob needs to be killed and not even given a chance to grow. This is why we can't have any more Harvey Beaks.

Kids wanted to watch kids shows doing kid things and pedophile producers were more than happy to oblige.

What are some OYC Shorts that had potential to become full shows? I haven't seen them in years.

Pajeet and snake show had its moments

>Mina and the Count (which I give a slight pass, as Renzetti also created MLAATR)
>Thatta Boy
>F-Tales
>Super Santa (could work as an annual holiday special)
>Twins Crimson and Those Amazing Robots
With some slight retooling, these could've been some decent to good shows
