Korra is such a Mary Sue, oh yeah haha looks like I just mastered 3 elements by age 4 guess it's because of my vagina power

Ok
Amon kicked her ass several times though
how exactly do they learn X is the avatar if they have to learn other bending from scratch?
So Zig Forums how do you define mary sue.
Perfect in every way except for "such a clutz" or whatever that makes the character look better
Korra seemed far weaker than Aang imo (even when he just had Air). She was talented at harnessing the elements but she wasn’t that good at actually using them from what I remember.
there's a whole system in place for nations of the next avatar (determined by the cycle) to figure this shit out
a strong female
Personally to me its more how the story treats the character. Where they arnt just the center of the story but of the universe. Nothing can happen without the sue cause the sue is all there is in the story
Korra skirts the line for me.
She's far from a Mary Sue. She gets her ass kicked constantly. On top of that she's shown time and time again to be an incompetent moron.
Her learning three elements at such a young age is stupid, though.
Why are bait threads like this one not instantly deleted?
Idk lol toys or something
Is Korra the hottest animated character in history?
I doubt it, but she's up there for sure.

Believe it or not, that part's based on real life.
The current Dalai Lama is also named Gyatso
She didn’t “master” those elements. She was just capable of bending them. The next scene and the one that kicks off present day is her final lesson in Firebending.
Not defending the show though. Her just randomly having Airbending after Amon took her bending was bullshit. Nothing about that encounter was spiritual for her. Aang giving back her other bending was shitty too. Bad show.
Tenzin Gyatso, to be specific.
Wonder if he's ever heard of Avatar. Seems unlikely, but with the internet who knows?
Can you really say a character is a Mary Sue if they peak in talent and intellect at the age of four?
>haha looks like I just mastered 3 elements by age 4
She didn't master firebending until she was 16. Being able to bend something doesn't automatically mean you mastered it, Katara, Toph, and Zuko pretty much told Aang that during the first part of Sozin's Comet.

Example would be Superman. Loved by the majority in-universe and is consider the most powerful superbeing on the planet.
A mary sue is any character I don't like
If Korra is a mary sue, why is she such a fuck up?
Mary Sue(real meaning)- perfect character without flaws who's always right and doesn't struggle
Mary Sue(Zig Forumsdefinition)- any character I dislike
>Her just randomly having Airbending after Amon took her bending was bullshit. Nothing about that encounter was spiritual for her
It was because she was finally free from only seeing herself as the avatar so she was finally able to use the element of freedom.
God i want to experience her vagina power
they probably just wanted a contrast from aang, no sense in rehashing the same development arc
at the same time her actual arc is super disjointed so maybe they should have kept it
Rey
It was because doing the same "master the four elements" plot again would have been boring.
Instead they made her the opposite of Aang and had her struggle with airbending (initially) and her spiritual side.
