Its possible for a good ship to be written badly, and making the whole season a long drawn out cliche love triangle with 0 depth or subtly really is bad writing, who knows maybe I'll still be shocked and impressed by some last minute twist they got but I doubt it because so far its all been very standard love triangle shit, Kiteman and Ivy are great together, not perfect but who is, now Harley wants Ivy too, the writers start making Kiteman look more hollow now that Harley is actively going after Ivy, to make it obvious who they support, so what was the point of the love triangle at all, oh just so a pointless character could create needless dramatic tension? These writers are hacks, its like they took a class on basic writing structure and just made Harley Quinn from that, its the most generic shit I've ever seen with a good dose of lol so random humor over it to make it doubly stupid and annoying

He doesn’t really understand her or like her for who she is. She doesn’t value him or treat him with respect. Neither of them are in love with who the other person is, but rather what they are. Their relationship is an unhealthy one born out of two lonely people attaching onto the first person to be nice to them. Ivy and Kiteman are both good people who deserve happiness, but they are reeeeally not going to find it in each other.
Yeah, cheating is gross, and only somewhat excusable in this situation due to Ivy’s complete lack of experience and understanding with relationships.

If they kick him a bone whatever, I doubt it will be much, the best 3rd wheels ever get are like pity brides, which are fine if written well but my complaint isn't simply that this is a love triangle but a love triangle that makes Twilight look well written

Really though it’s a comedy show, so you’re not meant to take property damage or civilian deaths seriously because they’re just there for laughs/to advance plot. Why not just make Harley end up with Ivy after season 1 and then we can spend a season on them working on that relationship? Instead of dancing around it for a season so that we never actually see the relationship just then driving off into the sun set together

I'm not sure why this all even matters. In the comics Harley has fucked a lot of people she likes, but she still hooks up with Ivy on occasion. There's no relationship drama to it, they're just friends who bang.
