Anyone watch Sublo and Tangy Mustard?

Aaron said he planned episodes, up to 15, years ago though he never stated if it'll be the last or he plans more.

it's only confirmed to be the last one of this season. hopefully he'll do more after but sounds like he'll be focused on Tuca and Bertie for a while.

because it is funny and the voice acting is good.

Personal favorite episode was #11 with the Art Gallery... Pretty funny and sad

that one is one of my least favorites because it's so painful. the cringe comedy is too intense.

Ashley is cute though, I'm glad she's confirmed to be in the next one.

Katy's story genuinely depresses me. But it's hard to see her getting a happy ending that doesn't involve her just fully giving up on her dreams.

Maybe it'll just be a matter of her accepting that drawing is just something that she enjoys, even if she accepts that she'll never make a career out of it.

I like that Katy actually has at least one decent friend.

Everyone else in her life seems to range from mild dumbass to crazy asshole.

Also its kind of weird to say but sometimes the animation reminds me of Masaaki Yuasa (Tatami Galaxy, Eizouken)

maybe she can actually be realistic and try to learn to paint non-dicks instead of jumping straight to "I want to have my art in a gallery and sell my work" when she clearly doesn't know what she's doing... but more likely she'll just be crushed and give up

I like how he didn't give Sublo and Katie a "will they/won't they" relationship that any other show would've done.

Yeah he's from Toronto, that's why there are episodes that mention random street names. It's weird but also kind of cool that it's so based in the real world.

I feel like Sublo does want that, judging by how upset he was Tito was dating Katy, like he wanted to get in there first. Tangy Mustard seemed more truly concerned for her.

Plus Sublo's voice actor mentioned it in an interview IIRC

The sad thing is she probably did try to learn, considering that she already went to school for it. But if you're still at a kiddie grade level of painting after years of art college there probably isn't much hope of drastic improvement.

Assuming that she took her studies seriously at all and didn't just ignore her lessons because she thought she was hot shit right out the gate or something.

I like that Tangy Mustard is a genuinely confident and laid back guy despite his job being just as awkward as Sublo's.

It sounded more like general annoyance then wanting Katie for himself.

I never got the feeling they see her as a "friend" as much as a "friendly work acquaintance" who they just show up to her stuff out of basic hospitality and boredom.

and because he's confident and not shy and awkward, people actually like him
