the character doesnt look black at all. at most theyre slightly darker skinned, perhaps tanned. but mostly it just seems like a color choice

these are the same people who think that making a black character a couple shades darker, while STILL retaining their dark complexion and black features, suddenly makes em "white" and counts as whitewashing

Looks pretty accurate assuming she's tanned a little bit more since some of the pictures of her were taken. Little thinner than she is now, but she seems to have either gained or lost that weight recently since I've seen plenty of pictures of her about as thin as that drawing.
She got redesigned again about a year ago.

Babs Tarr is a b-teir comic artist, most famous for redesigning the batgirl costume several years ago thats still being used today. She likes to draw herself alot and seems that her drawings have her being accused of wearing blackface. she seemenly thought people were trolling her and blocked them. then something must hae haopened and she deleted them and donated to some charaity to apoligize, but poeple are going to people shes worked for to call her out for being racist (like critical roll and dc).
