Justice League Movie Reboot

Was building up to Justice League necessary? I mean, compared to Marvel I think everyone knows who the Justice League is. Inspired by the cancelled Justice League Mortal movie, let's say you were chosen by WB to do a JL movie but no build up to it. What do you do to make the film work? To stand on it's own. Who will be the villain? Characters? Actors? Director? Etc.

Mongul as main villain. Movie opens with superman pod crashing at farm ar night and Bruce Wayne parents getting killed the same day. Mongul comes to Earth after tracking Superman's pod. Justice League gets formed to stop him. Uses a lot of comics origin because they are already established. So no need for explanations.

Ripoff Justice League dark (animated movie) but swap Darkseid with Mongul and add Steppenwolf killing the earth gods so it becomes Wonder Woman, Fate, Shazam problem

Mongul is underrated

Just do a Kingdom Come movie with Routh

You get a lot of writers and artists on as consultants for the movie so it doesn’t suck, and the writers will get input of something is in character or not. If Geoff Johns or Jim Lee or someone told Zach Snyder that Superman isn’t a depressed libertarian MoS would have been kino.

But anyway, I’d use the movie Justice League as a way to deal with huge threats. So by the time the JL is on screen together, it’s a huge deal. If the core marvel movies were the avengers movies, then the core DC movies would be the trinity. Slowly introduce more teams or characters into the series.

>Batman film
>Superman film
>Wonder Woman film
>trinity film
>Batman 2
>WW2
>Superman 2
>Flash 1
>trinity 2
>Batman 3
>WW3
>Superman 3
>flash 2
>green lantern (Kyle) 1
>Trinity 3
>flash 3
>GL 2
>Martian Manhunter 1
>maybe new gods
>maybe a green arrow movie
>Justice league 1 (rock of ages)
>Justice league 2 (darkseid is)
>Justice league 3 (rock of ages finale, and darkseid is kill. Flash resets the universe)

>f the core marvel movies were the avengers movies, then the core DC movies would be the trinity.
that's dumb.
The core of the DCU is Justice League

Batman needs to stay in Gotham. This is his natural enviroment - the fantasy world where Batman can actually operate without being killed or arrested day two. Old cars, coats, hats (aescethics are important too), gothic buildings (easy to travel with grappling hook), a lot of steam, little light and forensic science like in the 1940 r. Outside Gotham Batman just doesn't work, he's just another caped vigilante. This is why Gotham - the little fantasy world of Batman - is so important. Also never show him during the day.
So - in the new JL movie Batman should stay in Gotham (properly stylised). Someone else should be a coordinator. Wonder Woman for example. Or Superman. Leave Batman IN FUCKING GOTHAM CITY!!

You don't really need 7 movies to build up Justice League. It's not like the DCAU needed a cartoon for all of them to make a cohesive narrative.

The problem with Snyder's Justice League was the setup of prior films and a bad script. If done with a fresh start, just have these heroes uncover a plot for a Starro invasion. Boom. That's your plot

So Batman shouldn't be in the Justice League at all but in a universe unrelated with the rest of the DC universe but in a gothic like universe where cities looks like that?

Dcau justice league episide, secret origins. adapted to a live action movie.

why Starro?

Making a Justice league movie would be very difficult because they are so iconic but what I would do i highlight each member in a short sequence/mini story within the movie itself. Each mini-story will then connect to the larger plot of the movie and end with the finale.

Batman is superman should have been World's Finest.

Mongul should be what Darkseid was supposed to be for the Snyderverse.
The space tyrant.
And Darkseid just the god of evil

Superman's pod kills batman's parents and kryptonian radiation makes joker white and crazy. Pls hire me Hollywood jews

>Superman's pod kills batman's parents and kryptonian radiation makes joker white and crazy.
Scott Snyder is that you?

use this

The DCAU started with Timm's ode to his favorite Mary Sue Self-Insert, where he barely introduced any other DC characters and it was all a walled-in batwank-fest.

When the Warner suits finally insisted Timm add a Superman show, he introduced aliens, did that three parter Joker/Luthor cross-over with Bats and then did the Clark/Tim with Bruce Brainac episode and also used other S-TAS to introduced other elements of the DC universe like GL via Kyle, the Legion - albeit it was mind-wiped from everyone, including Clark, Dr. Fate, the unnamed Flash and a a few others.

So when they introduced Justice League, the animated series, the only real introductions they ha to make were for Diana and J'onn.

WB's biggest fault was agreeing to rush BvS and then the two parter plans for JL. All these characters don't need solo movies, particularly origin movies - Clark certainly didn't need that and if that's what Matt Reeves is doing with the three parter he got WB to agree to, he's even more of an idiot that I presumed.

No one would even sit through this many animated movies.

Kind of?

>No one would even sit through this many animated movies.

Mcu was 23 movies

And they were all shit

Yes

you still saw them all :^

Idiot, OP said to do a JL movie that is standalone, no need for introduction for Batman, Superman, WW, etc.

Dude, if Batman is actually good enough to have a place in the League, that pretty much means that the police or mob couldn't touch him anyway. He's clearly superhuman.

Anyone got the script for Justice League Mortal??? Or Batman vs Superman 2004???

Justice League Mortal. Thoughts?

The Miller justice league would've been kino, I have no doubt about it.

Building up to it is necessary. And no, not everybody knows the justice league, they know Batman. Maybe Superman if they're not a faggot about refusing to consume Superman because "He's just too powerful/boring", nobody but the fans know shit about the rest of the league, it doesn't help that every adaptation refuses to do any kind of justice to the origins of these characters, when was the last time DC did a show that wasn't Batman, and wasn't a Team Show that started when the team was already etablished heroes?

Despite this we still are garunteed to see the Tomas and Martha Wayne murder in every continuity, sometimes multiple times.

I would build up to it the same way Marvel did, I don't even care about Marvel, but what they did worked, and DC rushed into the first team up.

Don't do solo movies. Do team-up movies of 2-3 different big name heroes. People want to see superheroes interacting with each other. No one wants to see Batman interacting with Jim Gordon or Alfred, they want him interacting with Superman or Flash. Then, once in a while, do a team up movie featuring all of them.

>I would build up to it the same way Marvel did
This. As much as their movies suck, they still got it right in terms of building a universe

This. Fuck TDK

>Do team-up movies of 2-3 different big name heroes
They should do that with their 2022 movies.
Cyborg in The Flash, Superman in Shazam 2, and Wonder Woman in Aquaman 2

There is no need for a build up. Did Transformers get a build up? Or Power Rangers? As teams, there is no need for build up, bring in small sequences for Origins. Also, everyone knows JL. There is no way they don't know them.

>Did Transformers get a build up? Or Power Rangers?
And how did that work out?
