I don't know if the writer planned this but if they are going to involve twins in ritual sacrifices, it is pretty smart not to kill both of them. As I understand it twins tends to run in families. If they killed both twins, they would end up breeding the chance of twins out of their population.

This always bothered me when I would read stories where something would demand the most beautiful maidens. Depending on the rate that they are taken, the entity would breed the population ugly.

Decent odds neither twin will. Duane will have opinions on leaving them here to die.

Much better to bring this whole dedication to murder in the name of dead gods down in flames. Granted most of the children will die horribly in the process but that just gives them a better chance to be reborn a proper Child of Saeel next time

The fact that Siya is destined to die makes me believe she is the least likely to. If she still does, it will have some meaning in it's prematurity.

The art is so solid on this page. Good figure drawing, great expressions and life, lots of creative angles. I wish I could get my conversations to look this interesting when I draw them.
