Further Qilby literally never wanted to harm his people. He did because he's a fuck up but he never had this cope about it like Nox. He had a goal and he believed in it and wanted to share it with his family.
Matter of fact, Qilby was right and the WoT is canonically just a forward operating base of the elia clan. The Ten and later Twelve found it later and made built on the energy that was already present from the previous inhabitance. Yugo is by all rights the DoubleGodking of the entire place and yet they won't give him land to repopulate his people because that would 'be a political incident'

I think that we can all agree that Oropo was shit, but was only a shitty villain because the season got rushed/compressed into 13 episodes.
It’s honestly better to just treat him as the abridged villain of season 3, and just consider him incomplete.
Even still, there are several ways that the character can be theoretically salvaged.
I saw someone suggest that the reason he caused all the bullshit like Ogrest`s chaos or giving Nox the cube isn’t because he’s actually responsible, its just that those things would have happened in the original timeline, and all Oropo did was ensure that history remains unchanged, even if it required manual intervention to make sure that history would repeat itself. Sure, its pretty shitty of him to not try and save people by fixing history, but maybe there would have been serious consequences of having Eli-O-Tropes changing the past of the universe.

First of all, hunting a deer for food so that you don’t starve is different from killing something because it would make for a neat multi tool
Second, a deer isn’t sentient. It can’t think or form rational thoughts. It’s not a rock mind you, but is certainly nowhere near a human. MEANWHILE, the Mechasms were intelligent beings, who were capable of diplomacy, trade, and philosophy. You don’t even have the argument of saying that they are machines and thus feel nothing since they literally start a war out of revenge.
Thirdly, the Mechasms origins are kept a mystery, but implied to be from outside of the galaxy/universe/existence. This would mean that they are not bellow anyone from the Wakfu setting, and thus, creator preference doesn’t mean shit when you weren’t created by them. The eliatropes are above anything that was created by the dragon and the goddess, but if the Mechasms have a different origin, then they aren’t part of that hierarchy, and actually, might even be from a higher ranking system than the eliatropes.
So yeah, there’s a huge fucking difference between killing a non sapient animal for the sake of survival versus killing a completely innocent and intelligent entity for the sake of a multi tool.
